I was in Coney this past Monday to check up. (I'd been there nine days before the storm.) It was quite something.-- Boardwalk covered in sand, flooded cars and buildings way back past Neptune Ave... Carnival stuff soaked/ruined and piled everywhere along the curbs. Too bad I don't instagram.

Hi, great show (but then don't I always say that?) -- lots of great covers, especially. (Way-dug that Bittencourt version of "Darlin'".) Had to comment on the groove you're in now, because it reminds me of this morning, which I spent checking out WW2-era music in honor of my dad on Vet's Day. Don't know if that's what's prompting your selections too, but it fits so well.
