Sat. 11/10/12 3:10am Brian in Uk:

Sat. 11/10/12 3:15am Brian in Uk:

  Sat. 11/10/12 3:23am KP:

Bill, guess where I've been working tonight, all this week and for the foreseeable future.
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:23am Bill mac:

KP howsit goin? So like i've told you all before, I live about 90 miles south of here, and 50 miles East of work. On Wednesday morning there was yet another storm that hugged the eastern shoreline. I heard it was a bit rough near work, but I looked out my window and lo and behold, everything is dry. I ran the car wipers twice and got on the road. It was all clear til about 10 miles east of where I work. They got 8 inches of snow, tree were down everywhere. Twas like a war zone. KP were you far enough away to escape the wrath of Sandi..... where you working these days?
Sat. 11/10/12 3:24am Brian in Uk:

I knew I was getting older when seated gigs seemed enticing. Having said that, The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble recently disproved that idea.
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:24am Bill mac:

So everyone is well over 50 here;)
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:24am Jay/ London:

am still young at heart Martyn :)
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:25am Martyn:

I think everyone here is.
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:26am Martyn:

... young at heart I mean, not necessarily over 50.
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:26am Bill mac:

Yeah, that Swans show was SRO - my knees were locked for a day or so... you gotta limber up a bit if you're gonna stand that long.
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:26am Stanley:

  Sat. 11/10/12 3:27am KP:

I sort of remember 50.
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:28am Martyn:

That's more than I do KP
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:28am KP:

Jersey City. Nights.
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:29am Jay/ London:

Sat. 11/10/12 3:29am Brian in Uk:

A friend of mine at work was supporting the Hawklords last night, he is the one on keys at right (over 50)
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:29am KP:

It's more than a feeling, Martyn. As Boston used to warble
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:31am Bill mac:

Now you're dating yourself KP.... get out the Carbon14
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:32am KP:

Our offices down on battery by ferry were flooded and polluted by fuel. We worked in midtown and now in JC. most of this time I had no power/heat at home.
Sat. 11/10/12 3:32am Brian in Uk:

We are lucky bastards now no world wars to fight. We just got stress.
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:33am Jay/ London:

i am going on the morning bound train .. hope i can get the show on the phone later all
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:33am Bill mac:

Flutatious? Are they anything like any of the Hawk-family bands?
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:34am KP:

Boston? I remember the Boss-town Sound. ultimate spinach and somebody else.
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:34am Bill mac:

Wasn't Duke and the Drivers from Boston?
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:35am KP:

Anyway a shuttle bus takes us out of Jersey City and back to reality.
Sat. 11/10/12 3:36am michael and birgit:

Good Morning Bill. Whole Familiy listeneing to your show, having breakfast. Congratulations to the election and all the best for the repairs of all damage in the station.
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:36am KP:

Sounds familar.
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:36am Bill mac:

I finally got what you were talking about KP. You should drop by sometime if you're in the neighborhood.
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:37am KP:

Jersey City is freaking huge.
Sat. 11/10/12 3:37am Brian in Uk:

Kind of, bit trance-like, can be a bit heavyish in that style, as heavy as flutes get. I will see if I can liberate a copy of the new album for you if you are interested, Bill.
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:37am Scuttle:

Agh french is my favorite- as always, great stuff
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:38am Bill mac:

I'd be happy to fit it in on the show if possible too!

Hello Michael & Birgit!!
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:38am Stanley:

Hi Bill - what was the volume like at Swans. I'm going to see them friday and I heard they are way loud!
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:41am Bill Mac:

Thanks to Arne for pledging once again!!!!
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:43am Bill Mac:

Listen to Station Manager Ken's state of the station address http://www.wfmu.org/playlists/shows/48084
Sat. 11/10/12 3:46am michael and birgit:

Stanley: Swans?,...great, but save your ears. Saw them in Berlin.
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:48am KP:

Ok, in car, next leg of journey.
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:49am Bill mac:

Michael, how did you like the show?
Sat. 11/10/12 3:55am michael and birgit:

The last show was impressive but not so consequent as the show last summer in cologne. A bit more from the new album, but I´m not so used with that. The location "Berghain" was really one of the best and the swans fit in that perfect.
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:56am jay/london:

the phone works fime bill!! fit
first time i use it to listen
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:57am Bill mac:

I went in there not expecting anything but for them to be LOUD - lots of dynamics, but very intense. The new album is pretty great.
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:58am Bill mac:

Great! Jay is mobile!
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 3:58am Bill Mac:

Thank you Mary Kate for your donation!!!!!!
  Sat. 11/10/12 3:59am Stanley:

Aaaaarggh Mr Hyperbole himself.
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 4:00am Bill mac:

Problems with Mr G, Stanley?
Sat. 11/10/12 4:02am michael and birgit:

I discovered them late. My Band took me there for the show as a" must have seen". There were right. ...and Mr. G.? Oh i`m not a fan, but respect for his quality.
Sat. 11/10/12 4:11am Brian in UK:

'So' is being reissued,25 years. ELO rerecorded and reissued. Do not get it. I blame Amazon for this faux anniversary bullshit.
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 4:12am Bill mac:

I heard "Solsbury Hill" from his 1st album on a movie I was watching last week so I thought it might be nice to revisit him. Lotsa Crimson & Eno flourishes on his early stuff, but the material is all 80s through & through.
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 4:14am Bill mac:

I don't mind commemorating material that was missed the first time around, but there's something about the money grab of repackaging history that bugs me too...
  Sat. 11/10/12 4:17am Stanley:

Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 4:18am Bill mac:

Just don't appreciate his stuff enough
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 4:18am the missus:

do you have your cellphone on... hey, when did the math problems go away?
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 4:19am Bill mac:

I kinda remember a message that said they were going away.
Sat. 11/10/12 4:20am Brian in UK:

CDs, especially in crystal cases leave a lot to be desired. The only redeeming feature for me is the wonderful rise of the compilation. I have heard so much music that would otherwise have faded away.
  Sat. 11/10/12 4:22am jay/london:

its so much better without the maths on the moby bill
Sat. 11/10/12 4:24am Brian in UK:

@kp is that you smiling?
  Sat. 11/10/12 4:25am Stanley:

@ Brian ..and there's this new thing. An artist' s entire output all 27 albums re-released for 130 quid. Great!
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 4:28am Bill mac:

Sat. 11/10/12 4:29am Brian in UK:

@Stanley this is my favourite 63 of the buggers. Good value!!!
Sat. 11/10/12 4:31am Brian in UK:

Schtupping the artists partner for an extra 50 bucks.
  Sat. 11/10/12 4:31am Stanley:

Les Goths- fantastic psycho wah wah thing there!
  Sat. 11/10/12 4:35am Stanley:

@ Brian - the Jonhnny Cash 63 album box set is just fucking mad. You could always build something with them or even wear them as some sort of sick suit!
  Sat. 11/10/12 4:36am Looms:

Good morning Bill and fellows!
  Sat. 11/10/12 4:36am KP:

Wow just for gas without a line for first time. Meanwhile after all that mess, heat our went off again. Maybe i should pay the bill.
  Sat. 11/10/12 4:37am Mrs Stanley:

Hello Bill, hello wfmu lovers, just checking in to Stanley's dismay. We are enjoying the music very much on this sunny saturday morning
  Sat. 11/10/12 4:37am KP:

Sat. 11/10/12 4:41am Brian in UK:

Sat. 11/10/12 4:42am Brian in UK:

  Sat. 11/10/12 4:43am Mrs Stanley:

Thanks Brian, but I've got Stanley on it!
  Sat. 11/10/12 4:43am Emile:

Bill, pledging now by e-mail to Joe McG... You may not see it show up in your banner counter but it's going to your show... Keep up the greatness!
Sat. 11/10/12 4:51am Brian in UK:

The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu?
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 4:51am Bill mac:

Emile, matters not how it gets here, and besides, McGasko is a good Joe. Thanks again for your support!
  Sat. 11/10/12 4:53am jay/london:

here i am going about 150 mph on the train and you sounding so clear
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 4:54am Bill mac:

  Sat. 11/10/12 4:54am Stanley:

Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 4:54am Bill mac:

Sat. 11/10/12 4:58am arne da torino:

Are you kidding, two weeks away from radio silence??? That's shocking. Do you want us to come over and solder the contactors? Give a helping hand to WufMuu, everybody!!!
Sat. 11/10/12 4:59am Andy in Berlin:

Buffy Sainte Marie is sounding a lot like Captain Beefheart these days
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 5:01am Bill mac:

Hey Andy - These days? Not even Beefheart sounds like Beefheart these days...
Sat. 11/10/12 5:03am Andy in Berlin:

that's what comes from singing through 6 feet of earth, I guess
Sat. 11/10/12 5:03am Brian in UK:

@Stanley it is a long time since I heard Mr Fankhauser or was out on the perimeter.
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 5:04am Bill mac:

Thanks, Arne. Like I said folks, check out Ken's state of the station link shown earlier in the comments section
Sat. 11/10/12 5:04am Andy in Berlin:

Seriously though, am I in some kind of time loop or are you posting songs faster than you can play them?
Sat. 11/10/12 5:05am Brian in UK:

@Stanley this was a bit of a balls-up.
Sat. 11/10/12 5:08am Andy in Berlin:

weirdly enough it seems the flash player was on some kind of delay. I turned it off and then put it back on and was able to catch up.
  Sat. 11/10/12 5:14am jay/london:

this song goes so well with going fast
  Sat. 11/10/12 5:14am jay/london:

Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 5:16am Bill mac:

Are you there yet Jay?
  Sat. 11/10/12 5:17am Stanley:

Thanks Brian - a freak accident indeed but some fella looks like he's trying to stay as close as he can to the conflagration without getting burned.
BTW enjoyed your link to the Lewes bonfire night photos in the week.
  Sat. 11/10/12 5:17am Stanley:

@ Jay - fast and bulbous

  Sat. 11/10/12 5:23am hamburger:

good morning, I woke up in bed with an ikea oddvar stool in bed, one leg missing, not sure where it came from...
  Sat. 11/10/12 5:24am Stanley:

Here we are again - a Bee Gees track sounding quite interesting and not at all cheesy grins all round.
Sat. 11/10/12 5:25am Brian in UK:

Bill, I used to like the Bee Gees 'Craze Finton Kirk' from way back.
  Sat. 11/10/12 5:25am Stanley:

@ hamburger - could have been a lot worse!
Avatar Sat. 11/10/12 5:26am Bill mac:

@Hamburger Are you sure it was your bed?

  Sat. 11/10/12 5:28am hamburger:

  Sat. 11/10/12 5:33am hamburger:

  Sat. 11/10/12 5:37am hamburger:
