Good Morning Everyone. A happy Hall & Oates greeting to one and all. Now, where are my snow boots..............
  9:03am Pine:

OBAMA! Congratulations folks.
  9:03am The GB Kid:

Morning Everyone. Morning Ken.
  9:04am Caryn:

Nice recreation of the already-legendary Christie/Ken moment.
  9:05am BSI:

God dammit that man can HUG.

State of the Station at 11:30 today, till 12:30. Duane will be a little late...
  9:08am Lizardner Dave:

Won't Get Fooled Again? Perfect post-election song even when the right guy wins.
  9:09am Lizardner Dave:

Or The Only Song works too...
  9:09am Pine:

I might be a little idealistic but this feels a lot like when Labour won here in 97. That issued in a few good years before shit went down again.
  9:10am Dave B:

My candidate didn't win. :-(

Tarquin Fin- tim- lin- bin- whin- bim- lin- bus- stop- F'tang- F'tang- Olé- Biscuitbarrel - Silly Party
  9:11am BSI:

Tarquin was on the wrong side of the Ferrets'-right-to-choose debate.
  9:12am Christopher in Chinatown:

these long comfort songs are working just fine for me Ken!
  9:12am Cheri Pi:

Damnit Ken, today is a mixed blessing, I was hoping for another "special delivery"
  9:15am Caryn:

I'm just hoping Obama will finally go all-out, because he doesn't have to worry about being re-elected anymore. Especially as the GOP seems fine with letting their most lunatic fringe run things these days.
  9:17am Unctuous Rancid Dwarfman:

anyone have some extra zoloft laying around? think i'm gonna need some for the show today.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17am Ken:

Dont get your hopes up Caryn. Obama won despite his lame ass. Im glad the GOP got trounced but Obama needs to step it the fuck up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18am Ken:

U.R.Dwarfman, Welcome!
  9:18am Unctuous Rancid Dwarfman:

he couldn't step it up on an escalator
  9:19am lucifer in france:

aujourd'hui vive usa
  9:19am Unctuous Rancid Dwarfman:

Hello Ken!
  9:20am sweet cheri:

hey g'morning ken and everybody!!
  9:20am Caryn:

@Ken: well, exactly. He has about 2 years until the "lame duck" period starts, so he needs to start really pushing for things instead of letting Congress act like a bunch of petulant 5-year-olds. We'll see if he can do it or not. Still, at least I don't have to live in perpetual fear of what will happen to the world, which I suspect would've happened if Mittens had won it.
  9:20am Goyim in the AM:

I am happy to confirm Ken's accent-related self-estimation. Morning!
  9:20am BSI:

Agreed Ken. He needs to send a team to Monster Island and appoint some large stompy creature: Secretary of Filibuster Bustin' .. or something.
  9:21am hamburger:

a little lovetrain marathon couldn't hurt? :3
  9:22am jan:

Ken- make sense of all that we face, floods and the popular and electoral votes. How was
the Neil Young book, anyway?
  9:25am Vicki:

you need a basement under your basement

Let's move to Colorado!

  9:28am adam:

pot decriminalized in my town Grand Rapids Michigan
  9:29am Caryn:

Well, Washington state had pre-empted this by having plenty of snacks available for when people have the munchies. Those maple syrup-bacon donuts will come in handy now.
  9:30am lucifer in france:

vous avez de la chance
  9:32am dcp@:

I second the "step it the fuck up" sentiment...
  9:33am Unctuous Rancid Dwarfman:

how about Autobahn by KRAFTWERK?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33am Ken:

Hye peoples, if you havent pledged yet, please do so, WFMU is really really hurting from this storm. Also, I need some more really long songs. Thanks to all who already have pledged since Oct 1st!
  9:34am Unctuous Rancid Dwarfman:

there will be no "stepping it up". he should have stepped it up the first year of his first term and gone from there. he hasn't in the past. he won't in the future.
  9:35am The GB Kid:

Alvarius B and Cerberus Shoal - The Real Ding. That's a good 18 min song
  9:37am Cecile:

hola! aw, you and Chris look like BFFs.
  9:37am Cecile:

BSI, what's your email again? I need to consult your oracular wisdom...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37am Ken:

Thanks Christine from Seattle for your pledge!!
  9:37am Cecile:

hahahahahah, Cee-Lo!

I have a crush on that compact little man...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:38am Ken:

GB Kid, you got it!! I agree with you, U.R. Dwarfman.
  9:38am Caryn:

Too bad all the really long tracks I know tend to be prog or world music, since Ken don't swing that way.
  9:38am C. Montgomery Burns:

We're still going to get that trillionaire's tax cut, right??
  9:39am Cecile:

URD: two words, lame duck. You might be surprised.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39am Ken:

Some prog is OK. It depends...
  9:39am Karl Rove:

you could do In memory of Elizabeth Reed Warren from the Fillmore. Agree on the stepping up bit ken
  9:39am BSI:

Long comfort song? "HALIFAX" by Hampton Grease Band. Done.
Trade winds blowing eastwardly....
  9:39am Cecile:

Ken could always put on a Necks track. The short ones start at 40 minutes.
  9:39am Vicki:

Terry Riley
  9:40am Goyim in the AM:

Yeah, the President of the Harvard Law Review is pretty much a careerist by definition, and nobody's idea of a progressive. Signed Goyim, HLS '97 cum laude.
  9:40am Cecile:

BSI!!!!!!!
Right on, Halifax. hahahahaha.
  9:41am fⓞfⓞ:

Der Ring des Nibelungen by Wagner? It's kind of long.
  9:41am Unctuous Rancid Dwarfman:

hmm Cecile, the two words that came to my mind were: lame ass
  9:41am BSI:

...it IS a very educational tune after all...
  9:42am Cobra Dan:

Niel Young Chopped and Screwed....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XPXF_TVCYU
  9:42am Goyim in the AM:

I have come to think of Can's "Waiting for the Streetcar" as the Superstorm/Election Nonsense Freedom anthem.
  9:42am Vicki:

Buy Me/Sue Me 7" locked groove by Stock, Hausen and Walkman
  9:42am dcp@:

How about the Rite of Spring? You really can't beat it...except you gotta flip the record half way through.
  9:42am Cecile:

well, that too.
I have my issues, but the only Romney I want in the White house is Zombie George Romney.
  9:43am Cecile:

Zombie Lenore Romney would also be acceptable, I stand corrected.
  9:43am fⓞfⓞ:

Pink Floyd is also considered Prog.
  9:43am Goyim in the AM:

Also Buzzcocks "I Believe" is lyrically and situationally appropriate.
  9:43am Cecile:

Goyim, I agree 1 million percent with you. Perfect.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:43am Ken:

Oh Yeah! The Floyd is on the FREAKIN MENU fofo!
  9:43am Cecile:

I thought Can were as well.
  9:44am Denise in DC:

I think he'll step it up considerably. Things here In the Belly of the Beast have been on hold for months out of fear of what the electorate would say. Now he'll cut loose to do a bunch of things he can do without kissing Congress's ass.

Or not.
  9:44am Cheri Pi:

Can's Tago Mago: "Halleluhwah" =18:33; "Aumgn" =17:37
  9:44am fⓞfⓞ:

I wanted Romney to win!! Yes! His ancestral family is from my town. I feel he's almost like my lost cousin.
  9:44am MD:

Yeah!!!! My favorite Radio staion is back along with my favorite President...Things are lookin' up!!! Good morning all!!!
  9:44am Vicki:

the long spoken word track from Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds :)
  9:45am Cecile:

Whooo! We rejected the definition of marriage amendment in MN. Let the gay weddings begin!
  9:46am Cecile:

Vicki, genius. hahahhahaha, that was a part of my formative years.
  9:47am Cecile:

Ken, put on the Necks and sniff some lavender oil for an hour.
  9:47am Karen in Sleepy Hollow:

Schweet! Phones? I'm calling and the phone is busy. Is that a good sign?
  9:49am fⓞfⓞ:

..Or what about playing the "War and Peace" spoken word album by the Voices of the Slowest Speakers From the World label?

  9:53am Cecile:

I heard it.
  9:53am Terry:

Well I here it ..but I'm in Georgia so my vote didn't count
  9:53am Sam:

There was definitely a dial tone.
  9:54am Caryn:

Heard a dial tone!
  9:54am Karen in Sleepy Hollow:

I love this! Ding! Thanks Ken, if not for you I wouldn't even know about this.
  9:54am fⓞfⓞ:

This show is not even happening. This comment is non-existent.
  9:54am Mark:

that's how I felt when I called my house phone and it rang instead of going to the voice mail message which meant I had power after a week without
  9:54am alan:

Dial 958 to find out the number for the dial tone.
  9:54am Sam:

I like the typing in the background - makes it sound like 1010 Wins.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54am Ken:

Jesus, some of you are fucking with me but I dont know who... was there a dial tone or not? Im not even sure I heard it anymore.
  9:54am Vicki:

I can hear ghosts now
  9:54am Sandy:

You have an undiagnosed PTSD disorder. Seek urgent help!
  9:55am Caryn:

Piirpauke's first album alone has 2 tracks that are 11 minutes long.
  9:55am Cecile:

Ken, there was a dial tone. Trust me.
  9:55am dcp@:

Yes, dial tone for a moment. Sorry to not fuck with you.
  9:56am Sam:

Ken, you heard the dialtone? And so did we. It was there. Some people might not have been paying attention.
  9:56am Cheri Pi:

Brian Turner turned us on to a killer live version of Deep Purple's "Mandrake root" that's about 34 minutes long: http://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/43434 at the 0:52:30 mark.
  9:56am Cecile:

cheri!
  9:57am dcp@:

jesus, my head hurts...am I RIGHT?
  9:57am fⓞfⓞ:

I heard Vicki hears Jeffrey talking all the time (the one from the song "Jeffrey I Hear You" by The Girls)
  9:57am hamburger:

does anyone else hear that typewriter? #phantomaudio
  9:58am Unctuous Rancid Dwarfman:

will next week's show be all songs that are under 0:30?
  9:58am goyim in the am:

No dial tone, but the Emergency Alert System is warning us of a massive epidemic of deadly stress flu, the symptoms of which include telefonic tinnitus.
  9:58am pierre:

yeah, i have no interest in lying to you Ken, there was a dialtone each time you said to pay attention.
and @Hamburger : i do hear it too
  9:58am Cheri Pi:

Cecile-baby!!
  9:59am Unctuous Rancid Dwarfman:

typewriter? all i hear is a dial tone in the background
Avatar 9:59am Vicki:

that's Ken typing random emails on one of the fried computers while listening to a broken phone
  10:00am Cheri Pi:

Cecile, Mazel Tov for MN!!-Gay weddings alone could save the economy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00am Ken:

Oh damn, sorry about that, I left the mic on. That WAS me typing. Sorry about that.
  10:00am Caryn:

I wonder if you could get a typewriter sound for your computer keyboard? Might be fun for a while.
  10:00am dcp@:

OMG. Headache and now meetings the rest of the morning. DON'T THEY KNOW I'M A PROGRAMMER?? Have fun kids...
  10:01am Cecile:

BSI - do you still have those sheets of Baby Teeth Chartpak lettering?
  10:01am dcp@:

this "tune" rules by the way, okbai.
  10:02am Detroit Mac:

Very strange evening.... the movie, Rosemary's Baby was on. I felt this was more soothing for me to watch than the election returns, and it had just finished when I switched channels to see the 1st call came in that Obama had won. Checked with FOX news to see if they agreed (they did). Turned off the TV and went to bed.
  10:02am Caryn:

I almost started wondering if this was a version of "Ding" with a typewriter on it (the "ding" then also referring to the ding when the typewriter is at the end of a line). I'm kinda sad it was just background noise.
  10:03am hamburger:

remember these GRAMPS? http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2012/1/23/1327346900950/woman-typing-007.jpg
  10:04am Caryn:

When I was in junior high, you could still take typewriting as an elective course. Man, I feel ancient.
  10:04am BSI:

Cecile: in theory, I do... but no idea where. I never seem to throw away anything, which explains a lot about the condition of THIS PLACE... Also a bunch of Chartpak sheets of zipatone & weather-map symbols, oddly...
  10:04am Lizardner Dave:

Hey, I think that pic next to the Wire song was taken where I voted.
  10:05am sweet cheri:

on a serious note, ken i'm not looking forward to anonther nor'easter tonight. btw i"m enjoying your show. hiya caryn!
  10:06am Sam:

I'm hoping we'll hear the Obama over the rainbow song.
  10:06am Caryn:

Hi, S.C.!
  10:06am Cecile:

That's fine. We have a layout exercise with a Milton Glaser article. I was going to mess with a photo of the Chartpak if you had it. But it's not like there are not 1000 other items i can put in that exercise and still have it work.
  10:07am Caryn:

@Sam: it's not long enough. Only super-long tracks allowed today.
  10:07am fⓞfⓞ:

Counter-voting Sam request!
  10:08am Sam:

Ken, I'm really sorry to hear about all the records you lost. You and the station didn't deserve this.
  10:08am Caryn:

Are the superlong "comfort" tracks actually a tribute to Christie's superlong hug, Ken?
  10:09am Sam:

I'd say play the rainbow song at a very slow speed.
  10:10am Robert:

For long, Bingo's Bolero is over 14' -- and soooo romantic.
  10:10am Caryn:

After the next storm passes, I suggest we get the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" people to rebuild Ken's house. The Rammstein theme room would be something to see.
  10:10am fⓞfⓞ:

ok ok ok.. Play the Rainbow song. But making sure the beautiful sound of the dial tone overrides it.
  10:12am Caryn:

Maybe fⓞfⓞ will be fine with the rainbow song, if it is played both backwards and superslow. And intermixed with Dr. Bootygrabber.
Avatar 10:12am Vicki:

would love to hear Eep Man with this - Eye/Zorn
  10:13am Dan B From Upstate:

This is the best rendition of Obama the Rainboy yet.
  10:13am Dan B From Upstate:

Raindow. Dammit.
  10:13am Sam:

Thank you Ken
  10:13am Caryn:

Is Ken trying to recreate the "Atonement" soundtrack by typing along with the songs?
  10:15am Caryn:

No worries, Ken. I like the typing sound!
  10:15am Sam:

The typing is such a soothing sound. It makes you feel like everything is alright - whatever's going on, Ken is writing a letter and taking care of it.
  10:16am Caryn:

I'm sure some right-wing talk radio host will soon use that gif as proof positive that Obama is gay. "Hey, there are rainbow stars shining from him!"
  10:16am giselle:

diaper man???
  10:16am fⓞfⓞ:

The typewriting sound made me an Obama The Rainbow believer.
  10:16am Sam:

How can you be sure Obama didn't steal the election?
  10:17am Sam:

Hand me down that can of beans!
  10:19am fⓞfⓞ:

If Obama stole my heart...
  10:20am MD:

Thank the Repubs. for keeping the 2nd amendment alive...sometime you need the 2nd to protect the 1st...
  10:20am Cecile:

YES.
  10:20am Caryn:

Ken, if your main concern is firewood, I'd swap the gun for an axe and a crowbar.
  10:21am kDan:

sounds like Andy has been talking to Bronwyn! He should join her for survivalist training classes! I watched her start a fire with a flint and cotton balls in a thunderstorm and her squad kept it going all night while alternately sleeping in a leaf shelter! Squadschool.com
  10:21am dcp@:

you mean a militia? cuz that's what the second amendment is about...
  10:21am Robert:

Mother hated the Red Cross for the same reason.
  10:22am Mark:

Some snow is mixing with rain here on Lon Island
  10:24am Irene:

How about The Sinking of the Titanic or Jesus Blood Never Failed me by Gavin Bryars, two very long comfort songs?
  10:24am dcp@:

oh, man. If I have to hear the word "granularity" one more time...
  10:25am kDan:

Andy's joining a militia?
  10:25am Caryn:

Over here, the local Red Cross was pretty reliable. Until a few months back, when one of their workers was arrested for embezzling several hundreds of thousands in funds.
And, yay, "Shaun of the Dead" gif! With zombie Tyres bonus!
  10:26am Scott W:

2nding Irene's G.bryars; also The Faust Tapes, Harmonia "Deluxe", C.Butler "Devil Glitch"
  10:27am Paul:

Comeon! play the whole thing
  10:27am kDan:

Here's a sensible WFMU blog post about preparing for the next one...

http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2012/11/the-storm-next-time.html
  10:28am pierre:

That's nice to hear that people helped each other after the storm.
  10:29am robyn:

i would not object to another two hours of eno.
  10:30am Melody:

I'm with Paul and Robyn on this one.
  10:30am Caryn:

2 hours of Eno, followed by 2 hours of Prince. I could get behind that.
  10:31am Unctuous Rancid Dwarfman:

how about 2 hours of Sonny Bono?
  10:31am amEdeo:

@kDan: Andy's Little Soldiers IS A RELIEF ORGANIZATION, not a "militia of small children".
  10:32am Mark:

Now they're naming nor'easters this one is "Athena"
  10:32am Paul:

Thanks Ken. Dig the crazy typewritter beats
  10:33am dcp@:

Mark: I noticed that. Confusing, I started looking around for another hurricane. Things are getting a little too cute over at the weather channel...
  10:34am fⓞfⓞ:

URD.
Way much better than 2 hours of just Bono.

Todays Beef: NBC covering the elections from Rockeffeler Plaza and calling it Democracy Plaza.
  10:37am Andy in Berlin:

I think this is one of the songs that made me start listening to WRVR
  10:38am fⓞfⓞ:

The awkward moment when you realised those sounds where in fact just a bunch of typewriters speaking from their anuses (like those from the film "The Naked Lunch" by Cronenberg).

WRVR?! Jaysuss Andy! That station was the WORST!
  10:39am Mark:

Hey I just saw an article I'm not the only one who thought Diane Sawyer was drunk last night
  10:39am Caryn:

@Uke G: Oy. Were they serving "freedom fries" at the craft service table, I wonder...
  10:40am Andy in Berlin:

@Ken - shows you the degree of desperation
  10:40am Caryn:

Man, "Philthy" Phil Taylor has gotten even more animalistic over the years.
  10:41am Fern:

More Floyd! Play Echoes!
  10:41am fⓞfⓞ:

Whoa! Thanks for the Pink Floyd!
  10:41am Mugsy:

Would like to welcome you all back...missed my FMU.
  10:42am Michael DeVincenzo:

I'm going to legitimately rape you Ken....

... and PLEDGE!!
  10:43am Detroit Mac:

This that last GIF "Chimp Krupa"? That's what you get when you mix Pot and Music.
  10:43am Ken From Hyde Park:

Ken, you might already plan to mention this in the state of the station. Is there surge protection equipment available that can protect the station's electrical devices from damage when the power grid goes wacky?
  10:44am Jay Gogel:

All I know is ball... and good... and rape... and supporting the greatest radio station on planet earth
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am Ken:

Thanks Michael - Hey, Todd Aiken legitimately got his ASS HANDED TO HIM. As did the other pro-rape repuglican
  10:47am Mark:

yes after last night's losses the repugs will stop pandering to the lunatic fringe that speaks of things such as "legitimate rape"
  10:50am dollar pizza:

ah, some nice abuse of rhyming noun declensions in this song...
  10:50am Pine:

What a great song
  10:51am dollar pizza:

Drogentod, Drogentod, mein kind, Dir droht den Drogentod!
  10:51am Ken From Hyde Park:

A song for today might be "Elected Pimps" from Perfect Thyroid.
  10:51am dollar pizza:

"dir droht den Drogentod..." aah!
  10:52am Mark:

meant to have a "maybe" between losses and the repugs

What will Andy B's mood be tonight? Tune in @6:00 p.m., est!
  10:55am sweet cheri:

ken could you give us a little taste of what your speech is about this morning?
  10:56am Caryn:

I would actually be interested in a roller coaster that was partly in the water. Since they've already come up with most other ways to spice up the experience.
  10:56am pierre:

HAWKWIND !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am Ken:

sweet cheri, it's gonna be about what the storm did to WFMU and what we're doing now.
  10:59am Michael DeVincenzo:

the other member of the Pro Rape party was the remarkably creepy RICHARD MOURDOCK. If he and our old sweater vest wearing friend from Iran, Ahmadinejad, had a love child, it would probably impode in a spectacular mushroom cloud of traditional rape values and icy thin lipped smiles...
  10:59am Carmicahel:

Hawkwind!! Hi hungover all-hugged-out post-election-depression can't-hear-a-dialtone Ken! And hello voters!
  11:00am -:

@Caryn

Extending the Log ride downwards?
  11:01am Dave B:

"The ham said to the eggs... "move over white boy, youse crowding me"

"And the eggs said... "I ain't crowdin nobody. I'm just sittin' here in this here grease"
  11:02am Caryn:

@Michael DeV: don't forget Paul Ryan cosponsoring that "forcible rape" definition with Akin. Yeah, there's "forcible rape", "legitimate rape" and apparently all the other types of rape that are somehow not forcible or legitimate. Sheesh...
  11:03am Caryn:

I think Hawkwind should always be enjoyed with some Stacia Blake. Sound alone is not enough.
  11:04am Andy in Berlin:

Uhh...Ken, it's a satire
  11:05am Caryn:

Now Bush knows how all those elderly people in Florida who accidentally voted for Limbaugh felt.
  11:05am Cecile:

that story is a hoax.
  11:05am jan:

MSN says that the Bush vote for Obama is a hoax
  11:06am Caryn:

Oh, if that story were true... Still, it is harder to make these type of jokes about Obama. GWB was definitely a gift for comedy writers everywhere.
  11:08am fⓞfⓞ:

If it's on the web must be true.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08am Ken:

No! I insist on believing it. If I believe it hard enough, it will come true.
  11:09am Rammstein:

I HEARD THAT
  11:09am bw:

I believe in Ken!
  11:10am BSI:

back! Missed my precious Hawkwind, but such is life...

The hoax is a hoax.

YESYESYESYESYESYES
  11:12am Dan B From Upstate:

That's a shame about the Bush vote being a hoax. Unrelated, is it possible for Sigh to write a bad song?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13am Ken:

Yeah!! What UKE said!
  11:13am marcus:

hahaha, the skipping is awesome!! perfection!

GODDD i hate metal. *geriatric moment*
  11:16am Mark:

I was expecting
"A Wizard a True Star"
  11:17am fⓞfⓞ:

And now ladies and gentlemen, this is how you blend together Sigh and Todd Rundgren. A little magic here, and a little Rammstein there.
  11:19am Carmichael:

Hey! I just saw Todd on Saturday night, amazing concert! He played with the post-modern chamber quartet Ethel.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19am Ken:

Good God. Have Karl Rove and Lee Atwater taught you people NOTHING??! If enough people tell a lie and enough people believe it, then it magically becomes true. Pass that Bush story around: www.silverdoctors.com...
  11:20am fⓞfⓞ:

But metal loves you robyn.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21am Ken:

Robyn, Sigh is not metal. It's rainbows and unicorns. If you slow Sigh down, it's Kenny Rankin and James Taylor singing.
  11:22am dollar pizza:

that was the thing about the Bush II years... it was so surreal that you couldn't tell hoax from reality, or reality from hoax
  11:22am robyn:

whenever i tell people i dislike metal, they tell me what i dislike is not metal. what the hell is metal!!
  11:22am fⓞfⓞ:

Spindoctors.com ? Hmmm. It must be legit newsource. Let's find out...Yes! It's true! Tell your friends!

"Tokelau in the South Pacific becomes the first territory able to meet all its electricity needs with solar power, officials say."

  11:22am robyn:

must i journey along this mortal coil, never to see the true face of metal?
  11:23am Carmichael:

He sang this here song right here.
  11:24am fⓞfⓞ:

So is this still Todd Rundgren? It's sounds good. I thought he was something like Peter Frampton.
  11:25am northguineahills:

Tokelau also has a population of less then 1500, making it the smallest territory (administered by New Zealand) recognized by the UN (for decolonization).
  11:27am fⓞfⓞ:

I think Bush voted for himself but people found out then he made that about Obama.
  11:27am hey us:

Meanwhile, back at the ranch:

-US ignition facility will devote less time to energy research.

  11:28am Cecile:

I keep forgetting that this is Todd's kissoff to commercial success. Sharp satire.
  11:29am Dan B From Upstate:

Is Todd Rundgren metal?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29am Ken:

Just so you all know, I will be shutting down this playlist in a moment and opening a new one for the State of the Station. Meet you all there....
  11:29am Vicki:

makes me think of Van Dyke Parks - is that wong?
  11:31am Uke Goldberg:

Todd Rungren is the nazz!
  11:31am Caryn:

I do like the "Zoolander" reference in the GWB "news" story.
  11:32am Cecile:

nope, Vicki, they were all kind of operating out of the same impulse. BUt interestingly enough, he says his favorite songwriters at this time were Carole King and Laura Nyro!
  11:33am Marie:

Need another long comfort song?: Roxy Music's live cover of "Hurricane"!
