Good to see you made it through. Hope the home did too.

Do to Hurricane Sandy our Record Fair, which is a major source of income, has been cancelled this weekend. On top of that, we are discovering more and more damage to our equipment here at the studio and out at our transmitter sites. She also has, with a nudge from Station Manager Ken, upped my October fundraising goal to help raise much needed funds. So, if you enjoy this program check the Zzzzzzero Hour box above. If you’ve never pledged before now’s the time, donate whatever you can afford and get some cool swag in return. Help get my little doggie's tail wagging again! And as always we at WFMU appreciate all your love and support!!

Hey Everyone! Things are fine at my place. I was removed enough from the storm to be able to move about. It wasn't so bad getting to work but since it's 20 minutes from the shore, many folks missed lots of times because they couldn't get out. Power is still out in a lot of places. Jersey City looks OK but a bit empty looking thanks to the curfew.
  3:11am
T-Zero:

Curfew? You have snow, Bill?
Avatar 3:13am
Bill Mac:

No snow, maybe Wednesday. I think there's a loosely enforced curfew here. Bar around the corner is open however.
  3:16am
T-Zero:

Ah. I hadn't read/heard about a curfew. Glad no snow yet on top of all else. It brought snow here, but didn't last. And for once I had power, while the wind knocked out everyone else... and that was hundreds of miles inland. Just really glad to hear you made it through and your place.
  3:18am
Jay/ London:

Hi Bill and all , glad to know everyone is ok at the station .. but the station needs help so please pleaser give something to save this station after all there is only one wfmu in the world

There's a guy I know from work that lives 2 blocks from here. Don't know his story but he hasn't been in since the storm, apparently he lost both of his cars.

Brian in UK:

Do not understand how the overall total has moved to $201,000!
  3:32am
BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

One of my JC friends lives at 2nd & Coles. He said there's a 7pm curfew. He didn't lose anything but he knows some people whose homes were severely damaged including a couple who lost everything. He lives on the third floor in his building so that probably had a lot to do with it. He received an automated call Sunday evening instructing anyone living on a second floor or begin evacuating.

And before anyone asks...T-Zero and I are not related.

Good morning Bill and everyone. I'm really sorry to hear about all the destruction caused by the hurricane and in particular about the set backs at the station. It was really great to see how folks kept the show going by mobile laptopping dj's from all over the place. Especially Doug Schulkind - what a trooper. WFMU is amazing and deserves to be supported through this crisis.
