This is great Irwin. I'm going to go bake some oatmeal cookies everyone. Stay groovy.
  Wed. 10/31/12 2:41pm Ricardo Montalban:

Hey everyone - thanks for the comments and pledges. Yeah, too far from the shitty mic. Will lean in more. After 37 years, you'd think I'd know the drill.

And thanks for the pledges. I raised the pledge goal for this program, which is why it went from 95% to 82%. We need your suppprt.
  Wed. 10/31/12 2:51pm Dave E.:

Sea gulls?
  Wed. 10/31/12 2:51pm Ricardo Montalban:

@ Matt does such a thing exist? I read someone on my FB feed elude to some kind of group/community that's all about non-sexual cuddling. With strangers. It just sounds weirdly creepy to me.
  Wed. 10/31/12 2:52pm Dave E.:

Ok, I'm off to hunt for gas, beer and milk. Want to bag me a big one.
  Wed. 10/31/12 2:52pm ?:

@ Matt, Dr. Atkins, and other david - Irwin was lying about the lasagne. I have a dairy intolerance. I made a salmon frittata. We've been eating salmon for three days straight.
  Wed. 10/31/12 2:53pm Dave E.:

Salmon Lasagna? Sounds fishy.
  Wed. 10/31/12 2:55pm Caryn:

@Ricardo: yep, cuddling clubs really exist. Saw a documentary about one once. Seemed perfectly innocent, but I don't think I'd join one.

But once the couple decide it is finally time for intercourse, it's best to agree to the terms beforehand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuWGVmlkLKo
Wed. 10/31/12 2:55pm Matt from Springfield:

@? (AP): There were laws in medieval Switzerland that you could only serve salmon to your servants on certain days of the week--because the rivers were full of salmon and very cheap, and without the law they would have served salmon to their servants EVERY day.

Psst Irwin, unclick the "Play feedback when volume is changed" box within the Sound Effects tab of your System Preferences then no one will know when you adjust the output volume. Doesn't matter all that much--the show is a treat regardless.
  Wed. 10/31/12 2:57pm G:

@Caryn: for ex., http://www.cuddleparty.com/
  Wed. 10/31/12 2:57pm Ricardo Montalban:

@Caryn:I guess I shouldn't be surprised, and I'm sure there's worse or creepy things people find other people to do things with (thanks, Internet!) but it's just not something I coould ever do with a stranger. More power to 'em, I guess.
  Wed. 10/31/12 2:57pm Caryn:

@Matt: that's like how the poor people living underground in Edinburgh ate clams and red wine almost every day. Poor people's food back then.

  Wed. 10/31/12 3:00pm other david:

AWESOME NEWS!
Wed. 10/31/12 3:00pm Listening Out There:

FYI, "DJ speaks" sounds better now
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:01pm Caryn:

@Ricardo: yeah, I think one reason some people go to cuddle parties is to learn to be more comfortable with non-sexual physical contact. Especially in western societies, where the sphere of personal space is much bigger than in some other societies. Being comfortable with being close to and allowing other people to touch you without getting freaked out. Apparently some victims of childhood sexual abuse also go to these clubs as part of therapy to get used to physical contact with people in a safe environment.
Wed. 10/31/12 3:01pm Listening Out There:

...good leaning...maybe if you leaned to the left? :)
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:01pm mike marinetto:

Hi Irwin - that version of Sandman was better than the original.
Wed. 10/31/12 3:02pm Matt from Springfield:

Hellos NGHills!
Wed. 10/31/12 3:03pm rob in new haven:

good to hear the magic factory has juice again
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:04pm Ricardo Montalban:

@Caryn: I have a tangential friend on FB who's into that aspect of it, seen some of her posts obliquely mentioning it. No doubt it's helpful for people in that situation or people that have problems with non-sexual intimacy.
I think it's the Scottish, Presbyterian prude in me that finds it kind of unusual but I like to think I'm not that judgemental of them/her.
Wed. 10/31/12 3:04pm Matt from Springfield:

@Caryn: But...clams and red wine don't even go together!
Odd that red wine was dirt cheap in Scotland then, and not say some kind of beer.
The clams..."cockles" I suppose?
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:06pm Alison Porchnik:

@Beckczar - Irwin relays his thanks for the tip.
Wed. 10/31/12 3:06pm Matt from Springfield:

Ricardo Montalban, a "Scottish Presbyterian prude"???
Well, maybe that's what we become in the afterlife :)
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:07pm Caryn:

@Matt: I wish I remembered what type of clam/cockle/mussle/whatever they were, but I learned this years ago on a tour of the underground city in Edinburgh, and can no longer remember the precise details. The red wine did always strike me as odd, too.
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:08pm Hervé Villechaize:

Zis true, Matt.
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:09pm Alison Porchnik:

@Caryn and Matt: oysters were once extremely plentiful in NY harbor and were considered food for the lower classes. The red "wine" of olde was essentially vinegar.
Wed. 10/31/12 3:10pm Matt from Springfield:

@Caryn: Perhaps it was the dirt-cheap red table wine from France that they don't even export--maybe back then when they had surpluses of that stuff, they would ship it to Scotland because they knew poor Scots would buy it.
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:10pm Caryn:

@Matt: then again, Scotland had very close ties with France, so imported wine could probably be bought on the cheap. And the UK has had plenty of wine production since Roman times, even if it tends to be forgotten in modern times.
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:11pm Caryn:

@Matt: hah, great minds think alike!
Wed. 10/31/12 3:12pm Matt from Springfield:

Good point Alison. Spoilt red wine/vinegar would be sold cheaply.

And I suppose that legacy is still represented in the "Oyster Bar", from when oysters were everywhere.
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:12pm autumn:

glad you're ok.

  Wed. 10/31/12 3:21pm Michael:

From Sinatra Drive I take it. Hope you're dry old pal Irwin.
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:23pm West Village:

@Alison: Oysters were huge hereabouts as the fast food of the day, till the sewage issue scared people off them a century or so ago.

That's my Staten Island history tidbit for the day. They used to find oysters a foot across off the south shore of SI, till oysters got really commercialized among the exploding NYC population of the later 19C... Overfishing. The tragedy of the commons!
Wed. 10/31/12 3:23pm Matt from Springfield:

@WV -yes, everyone who knows me can attest to that. But sometimes it comes in handy. Like when you want to make a frittata. If I didn't know that, Irwin wouldn't have had that special breakfast experience. And lunch experience. And dinner experience. Did I mention that the frittata has salmon in it? That makes three straight days of salmon. Of course, we could have been eating Alpo out of a can, so I'm not really complaining.
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:32pm Paris Hilton:

I always leave my knickers out of it 0:)
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:33pm Paris Hilton:

"special breakfast experience" -- I KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS :D
Wed. 10/31/12 3:37pm Matt from Springfield:

Neil Dick! The new tAMARow is here!
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:37pm Paris Hilton:

new dick, precisely. :)
Wed. 10/31/12 3:41pm Matt from Springfield:

There's Beth!
Is "Home Again" a Carole King composition? If not it has that similar vocals and piano style.
Wed. 10/31/12 3:42pm Matt from Springfield:

Stuff Smith, he's done a few reefer songs!
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:43pm Boris:

Really disappointed about missing Irwin's "Tribute to Raymond Scott" thingy at the Record Fair...
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:44pm G:

@Matt: It's on side one of Tapestry, one of the most purchased 33s of the 70s.
Wed. 10/31/12 3:44pm the glowing one:

OMG PARIS HILTON! you know what girl? I liked you so much better with your hazel eyes, brown hair and humpy nose
Wed. 10/31/12 3:46pm Matt from Springfield:

@G: So it is! Very nice "catalogue" track of Carole's.
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:46pm Humpy nose:

You have nooooo idea.
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:46pm Paris Hilton:

Obama got as nose job and no one gives him shit about it. Sexist bastid.
Wed. 10/31/12 3:49pm Matt from Springfield:

Hey autumn, you ever thought about doing a takeoff on "Tapestry" with Beth for an album cover?
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:49pm G:

@Matt: It's one of the first actual albums my sister ever bought, in 1971 (age 12/13). Any females or friends of females from the early 1970s knows that little tune. Not quite as well known as the other classics on that album
Wed. 10/31/12 3:50pm Matt from Springfield:

@Paris: But that didn't affect his SINGING! ;)
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:51pm G:

@Matt:

1. "I Feel the Earth Move" – 2:58
2. "So Far Away" – 3:55
3. "It's Too Late" (lyrics by Toni Stern) – 3:53
4. "Home Again" – 2:29

See how it got lost in the shuffle?
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:52pm Al Green:

@Matt: No shit sherlock.
Wed. 10/31/12 3:52pm BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

Just returned from a near-three hour meeting. BLERG! I missed Mr. Bungle.
Wed. 10/31/12 3:55pm Matt from Springfield:

@G: Sometimes albums used to begin with a "one-two punch", two hits/potential singles. With that "one-two-three" punch it's no surprise it's become a "catalogue" track.
  Wed. 10/31/12 3:57pm G:

Check the whole album Tapestry. It's wall to wall "cherce" ( <--- Tracy-Hepburn ref)
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:00pm Mick Jagger:

Exile in Hoboken was never considered as one of our album titles. Bloody shame, that.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:01pm G:

"Exile in Storm Drain" would have worked for the Frank N Sturm
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:01pm Carmichael:

I just got here. Fuckin' A, Irwin! I'm digging this exile show format. Just don't play any Exile.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:02pm SteveL:

How much do you usually raise from the record fair? Inquiring fundraisers want to know.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:02pm tam:

lene lovich?
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:03pm G:

@SteveL: Guessing just enough to break even for the fiscal year
Wed. 10/31/12 4:03pm rob in new haven:

we know how much you like to touch, irwin, and we know you so rarely have the money to touch so get out! you can't have the touch!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:03pm Jeery Sandusky:

I used that "touch it" line too. :)
Wed. 10/31/12 4:04pm Matt from Springfield:

Wooohoooo! JUDSON FOUNTAIN!!
Wed. 10/31/12 4:04pm Michael in Baltimore:

@SteveL They usually raise $70K from the record fair
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:04pm lewis:

@SteveL - Ken floated a net of $70K earlier this morning. I also had the impression that there are some costs that are already sunk that need to be recouped as well.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:04pm G:

What's the over-under on Amanda in the next 120 minutes.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:06pm Ricardo Montalban:

Oh, crap! I missed my man Neil Dick!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:07pm Paris Hilton:

"Kneel. Dick!" is something I've heard just way too many times
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:10pm SteveL:

Thanks for the numbers on the record fair. I'm guessing most people on these boards have made a contribution (or three!) already. If not, you know what to do!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:12pm Carmichael:

You're in an FCC-free zone, Irwin! Go nuts with the nasty records! Go! Go! Goooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wed. 10/31/12 4:15pm the glowing one:

For once Irwin's being himself now, which is not nasty at all. This is his true form.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:16pm Ricardo Montalban:

Ah, a radio drammer!
Wed. 10/31/12 4:17pm Matt from Springfield:

Judson and Sander in da house!!

If I wasn't at work, i'd have a "drammer" whiskey to go with this!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:17pm Caryn:

@glowing one: true. I'm starting to suspect Irwin's normal grumpiness is due to the pressure of the FCC. Way more relaxed like this.
Wed. 10/31/12 4:17pm Matt from Springfield:

Wow. That's a whole new level of Judson to me! :D
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:18pm Rita Rudner:

It's true, glowing. Irwin Chusid: Born to Be Mild.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:18pm lewis:

so much in the style of judson fountain that it IS judson fountain
Wed. 10/31/12 4:19pm Matt from Springfield:

So is this one a "dark dark dark dark" tale, or just an "other dark" tale?
Wed. 10/31/12 4:22pm Matt from Springfield:

It's a "bizarre bizarre dark" tale!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:22pm Danne D:

Irwin! Thanks for keeping the ship afloat.
Hi FMU friends! At work, so can't comment much.

(you're welcome ;) )
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:23pm mahendra singh:

how about a rexino mondo chaser????
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:23pm jsf:

Irwin, do you know 'Playhouse records' and Jim Copp/Ed Brown's work?
Wed. 10/31/12 4:23pm Matt from Springfield:

DANNE! Good to know you're all right!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:24pm jsf:

i know that voice.. it's Gaylord Fields!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:24pm G:

If you contribute now, that's "Three Coins in the Judson Fountain"
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:25pm G:

audio oops :)
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:26pm lewis:

Let's hear it for Jm Copp and Ed Brown!
Wed. 10/31/12 4:26pm Matt from Springfield:

Are Judson Fountain's whereabouts still unknown?
I liked when you got Judson and Sander to come into WFMU with the Old Codger to do a "drammer", but if they're not available, we should get Gaylord Fields and Clay Pigeon to do voices in a new "drammer"!
Wed. 10/31/12 4:27pm Matt from Springfield:

@jsf: I like how little certain accents change over time :)
Wed. 10/31/12 4:28pm the glowing one:

ohohohoho whahahahat a a a a a lovovovovoley sosososong
Wed. 10/31/12 4:28pm Matt from Springfield:

W00t! Strangers in the Nii-i-i-i-i-ight!!!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:28pm G:

The King of Vibrato steps up to the silver microphone!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:30pm Fun Fact:

"Sinatra despised the song, calling it at one time "a piece of shit" and "the worst fucking song that I have ever heard." He wasn't afraid to voice his disapproval for playing it live. In spite of his contempt for the song, for the first time in eleven years he had a number one song, and it remained on the charts for fifteen weeks."
Wed. 10/31/12 4:30pm the glowing one:

or maybe the King of Vibrators?
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:31pm Bic:

Sing it, honey
Wed. 10/31/12 4:32pm Matt from Springfield:

Another subtlely dirty old blues song. My, how they were able to hide the obscene references back..BWHAAAAATTT?!?

Phew, no FCC! :)
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:32pm Cows:

We're on our way!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:32pm PMRC:

I'm beginning to hope the radio never comes on again
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:32pm Bic:

Under the counter, people
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:33pm Bas, NL:

Im lip-trumpetting to this... great!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:33pm Alison Porchnik:

Thank god for the internet. You'll only hear this on WFMU.org, folks.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:33pm xangoir:

make this available on UBU permanently
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:33pm common:

refreshing
Wed. 10/31/12 4:33pm The good old days:

Is THAT how it was?
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:34pm Ajax:

I love this show, Irwin always brings a smile to my face.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:34pm Danne D:

@Alison Porchnik are you the Porchnik from twitter? Glad you're okay :)
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:34pm Michael:

Just got power back on! I can shave again.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:34pm Danne D:

Hey Bas :)
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:34pm G:

Irwin pulled his humungo list of "songs I can never play but would love to"
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:34pm tam:

way to fill a request, irwin. more satisfying than i would have thought.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:34pm Doug S.:

WFM BLUE! (We at Give the Drummer Radio can spin naughty tunes all day long. Hoo ha!)
Wed. 10/31/12 4:35pm the glowing one:

now WFMU's vault with the juicy stuff has been opened
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:36pm G:

The man knows his rear-end suspensions.
Wed. 10/31/12 4:36pm Matt from Springfield:

@Doug: There should be a stream program called "Blue Noise" :)
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:36pm Caryn:

I wonder if Irwin has a big stash of old "party records" that he'd love to play but usually can't because of the racy language? Come on Irwin, play them records!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:37pm Alison Porchnik:

@Danne D - nope. I don't tweet. But thanks for the good wishes - and yes, I'm ok!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:37pm das:

Huh? Oh
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:40pm Danne D:

:) nice to know there are nice Porchniks everywhere :)

where are you at Michael that you got power back?
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:41pm northguineahills:

Thanks so much, Irwin! Gotta run. Keep WFMU a'runnin'!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:41pm Carmichael:

Ya Irwin, play some Redd Foxx: "What's the difference between a pickpocket and a peeping tom? A pickpocket snatches watches."
Wed. 10/31/12 4:44pm Matt from Springfield:

And here's Carole!
Wed. 10/31/12 4:44pm Matt from Springfield:

REALLY ROSIE! Maurice Sendak's lyrics, great choice!
Wed. 10/31/12 4:46pm Matt from Springfield:

Ken had announced much earlier that the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel was among the bridges and tunnels closed. THIS is the reason why!:
http://tinyurl.com/c9rjmjy
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:47pm G:

I remember when someone in comments went nuts (in the bad way) from hearing Buddy Greco once on this show. Irwin was undeterred :)
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:47pm Bas, NL:

@Danne D: Danne D! Hi!
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:48pm Michael:

Buddy Love man
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:49pm G:

@Matt: If you can find live video of the water pouring down into the downslope of the tunnel entrance ramp Monday night, that's pretty gripping.
Wed. 10/31/12 4:51pm Matt from Springfield:

Foul-Mouthed Fountains of Wayne! The ultimate Irwin web-only song!
Wed. 10/31/12 4:54pm Matt from Springfield:

@G: I saw the Hoboken PATH station flooding, haven't seen the BBT one yet.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:56pm Hugo:

More smut here (on FMU of course):

http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2006/03/smut_mp3s.html

I'm beginning to appreciate the web-only option.
  Wed. 10/31/12 4:57pm G:

@Matt: Sent the link to my relatives out of town Monday night. It still works:

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50134146n&tag=strip
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:01pm das:

So long, stay safe!
Wed. 10/31/12 5:02pm Matt from Springfield:

Wow G. Kind of surreal to listen to Dan Bryk while watching that flooding.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:02pm G:

That frequency response and whatnot sounds suspiciously like the mic on my first 15 dollar black plastic casette deck, 1970.
Wed. 10/31/12 5:02pm BadGuyZero (Dallas, TX):

I hope there's some Nick Gilder played during that EFD show.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:05pm G:

Henry Bur-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r
Wed. 10/31/12 5:06pm Matt from Springfield:

The Codger won't know if it's missing--he sure can't use the Internet and listen to this show!

If anything he was moving his grammophone and cart of 78s to the second floor and lighting whale-oil lamps during the storm.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:13pm G:

Even when people aren't leaving work, because they're not at work in the first place owing to transit closures, there's still a 5PM comments lull. Maybe they're on the phone ordering in.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:17pm Commuter:

I'm sitting in my car, out of habit. Public transport users are standing around. I don't need to be doing this, I'm not going anywhere...so why am I??
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:20pm G:

Force of habit. Which is over 80% of life.
Wed. 10/31/12 5:21pm Matt from Springfield:

Woody Allen did say that "80% of success is just showing up"!
Wed. 10/31/12 5:23pm Dave in PA:

Has anyone else been hearing some distortion on the audio of the webcast? I heard it last night and again just now...
Wed. 10/31/12 5:26pm Matt from Springfield:

@Dave: It depends on the computer "broadcasting" the stream--the audio settings for each track, and for the computer as a whole (The Best Show was the Pop-Up Player archive filtered through a computer, filtered through yours. That's why I just opened my own Pop-Up to listen).
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:27pm Kenzo (lastever):

I have heard distortion at various times throughout the past day of webcasting.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:28pm G:

I'm among audiophiles :-)
Wed. 10/31/12 5:30pm Matt from Springfield:

@G: We do <3 audio! :)
Wed. 10/31/12 5:32pm Dave in PA:

OK thanks guys - wasnt sure if it was just my 'puter...
Wed. 10/31/12 5:33pm Matt from Springfield:

Live From Near Maxwells!
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:34pm Danne D:

I kinda thought the distortion was just part of the music *shrug*

I'm glad I put my earphones in for when Irwin just said FUCK.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:35pm FCC:

He said "FOKKKKKKK". Totally broadcast-safe.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:35pm Ajax:

What you are hearing is called "thermal ruanaway" and could easily be fixed but Heinrich is probably stuck somewhere in the flood.
Wed. 10/31/12 5:35pm Listening Out There:

...speaking of distortion...the "F" bomb, no less...oh, my ears...
Wed. 10/31/12 5:36pm Matt from Springfield:

@Danne: And probably won't be Archived either, so enjoy this unpredictable, Wild West stream broadcast! :)
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:37pm Caryn:

Dammit, by stream stopped working apparently right before the "fuck"! I missed it! This better be archived!
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:38pm Danne D:

LOL - enjoying it. Just happen to be at the office so better off with the headphones in :)
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:38pm FCC:

Archive all you want. We don't have our jackboot on the internet.

YET BWAHAHAHAHAHA...
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:38pm Alison Porchnik:

C'mon, lp geeks - Every dollar you were planning to spend on those (now) rare Camper Van Beethoven pressings with the screen-printed sleeves, just pledge it already!
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:40pm Frances:

I miss the Willamette, damn it! I miss living in PDX. sigh. Thank you for this awesome song & all the WFMU does!
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:40pm Mr Lowry:

The emergency-backup intertubes are ever-so-slightly louder in the left ear than the right. Wonder if it's the rotation of the earth or something.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:40pm Frittata:

Pledge or no frittata for you!
Wed. 10/31/12 5:43pm Matt from Springfield:

Liking this Greg Brown more each time I hear it!
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:43pm Frances:

I pledged all that I could (unemployed) a couple of weeks ago!
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:45pm Danne D:

@Mr Lowry if listening on headphones check to see if it's plugged in all the way ;)
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:47pm Kenzo (lastever):

You're right, the left is ~2.5db louder than the right.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:48pm Caryn:

Paid my rent and assorted bills this morning, hoping there'd be money left for a pledge. The result: I have 70 bucks on my account, and still have around 300 bucks worth of bills to pay. So, alas, no money for a pledge right now. My old mouse and millennium pledges are still going every month, though.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:48pm Carmichael:

God dammit, I got a phone call and missed the Dead Kennedys. I swear Irwin, I was gonna request that very song back when I mentioned Redd Foxx. Thanks for catching my vibe!
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:49pm Danne D:

The right is 2.5 db louder (of course I have my headphones on backwards as it makes the cable less intrusive) ;)

Thanks for all your hard work Kenzo!
Folks who appreciate the streams and the fight to keep them up feel free to pledge in honor of Kenzo :)
Wed. 10/31/12 5:50pm Matt from Springfield:

@Carm: It would be cool if there were Native American "vibe catchers".
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:51pm Carmichael:

Just as you say that Danne, the stream goes down!
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:52pm Carmichael:

OK, back up. 128, that is.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:52pm Danne D:

ugh Carmichael I broke the stream I guess :(
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:53pm Stanley:

The Albertos - fantastic. I haven't heard this since way back when I had the 7"
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:53pm G:

128 keeps going on and offline. I just fix it by hitting one or more times.
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:54pm G:

*hitting reload
  Wed. 10/31/12 5:55pm Dan B From Upstate:

I had an eleven hour work day today, and I'm just so thankful that Irwin and Ken came in despite the station not having power. You guys managed to make 9 of those eleven hours fly right by, and that is just one of the many many reasons that I give this station my hard earned money. Thank you so much, guys.
Wed. 10/31/12 5:59pm Listening Out There:

Thx for the program under these circumstances. Wow...
  Wed. 10/31/12 6:00pm Caryn:

Ken, in the background, eating salmon frittata.
Wed. 10/31/12 6:00pm Matt from Springfield:

Thanks Irwin!
Thanks Ken!
Thanks to all those still donating to the indefatigable WFMU!
  Wed. 10/31/12 6:00pm Kenzo (lastever):

If you still hear silence, you probably have to stop and start the stream.
  Wed. 10/31/12 6:02pm Caryn:

Yay, Irwin reached his goal!
