Knile:

Can I make coffee for anyone? The house specialty is a stovetop mokapot, thrown in a French press worth of Sumatra beans, topped with microwaved milk, I call it a Red Knile Au Lait.

Knile:

I haven't even put up my 2010 WFMU sticker on any downtown street signs yet!

ausmanx:

yes indeed, good evening, mr j. a film called 5 broken cameras. staggering and shocking, something the world needs to see (esp our friends over at JM in the AM!). and also the new Julian Cope CD (the Arch-Drude is a god of some sort)... off to see Grails in Sydney this week too!
  3:50am
Knile:

I'm going to see Swans in a few weeks, and I only knew the name before like a month ago. Listened to their 2012 album and was cautioned that the concert will be a full-body experience, like a Swedish massage from a huge Turkish man. I'm looking forward.

ausman, i'll keep an eye (or 5) out for it! the new swans (and much of the old swans) are amazing. enjoy, knile. and get to work on those signs.
  3:56am
ausmanx:

a very long full body massage, mr knile! but yeah, wonderful. bizarrely, they were supported by The Necks when they were here. somehow it worked!

Workin all nighters with you, WFMyou!

ausmanx:

they do, jj, which is great for them, but a bit of a shame for us! it was great 20 years back seeing them in close up in cold little gallery spaces, but now they play the opera house! probably better to see them in NY these days... they've played at my house, but individually, not collectively (i don't have a grand piano!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:25am
jj.:

it's certainly been intimate the times i've seen them, but i'm really, really glad they can fill opera houses somewhere.

also, it's bob weir's 65th birthday. i'm not going to play any weir songs tonight, but... media.photobucket.com...

JJ out of curiosity, do you know how many online listeners you get on a given show? M
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:00am

not while it's happening. can see a # later of people who access it through the archives, but from my understanding that #'s not completely accurate either.
