How do I respond to that? I really liked Colin. I'm sure there are some films you LOVE that I think are mediocre...so get your own radio show and talk about them. Jeez! |

...better than the last 20 zombie-themed films I've seen, in concept, execution etc. |

I saw an interesting film called "The Blood Drinkers" (1966). I'm guessing you've already seen it Wm.

One of those Filipino classics, right? I *think* I've seen it ... I recall the still of the vampire over the young woman's torn-up neck; that was in every horror film book I read as a kid. I should see it again; would probably be almost new to me.... |

I don't own the movie. I saw via Youtube. I just found it, thought was good, definitely check it out if you haven't seen it yet.

Nathan, thanks! I take that as a high compliment, as my selections are made very carefully. ... Rory, there are several films titled The Blood Drinkers, alt. titles, etc., but if it had that mid-60s flavor, and a largely Asian cast, that's the one. Directed by de Leon.... |
|

Rory:
You got it! Directed by de Leon, Filipino.

I liked the atmosphere in it and how they kept changing the background colors from red to blue.

Guten Morgen, William, you seem to be in a good mood today, is it finally getting colder in NYC, so you're getting more comfortable with the weather?

Felix, we had a few days of wonderfully breezy, Autumn weather, then this weekend it back to the shit stickies. I'm just sleep deprived, perhaps the best "drug" of all ... I'm in a rotten mood, but I'm glad it does not appear so. ...And yeah, I gotta see The Blood Drinkers again.... |
|

Rory:
I had to go to IMDb, The one i saw is called Blood Is the Color of Night (1964).

In Gore films I' m getting prepared to watch Frank Henelotters BAD BIOLOGY (2008) thos weekend, you seen that? He's got Matthew Barneys makeup man, and RA, the rugged man is in it. I expect a good flic from this fantastic directors (basket case series, brain damage) comeback. Will tell you next week how it played out!

I LOVED Bad Biology! Saw the opening screening and then rewatched on home video. Frank Henelotter was on my show a few years back ... check the archives, it was a great interview—a super-bright, funny guy! |

...and lest my anti-hip-hop car rant be misinterpreted as racist, I should say that in all likelihood, the passengers in that car were white jocks, with their cap brims turned around ... it's the behavior I can't stand, flaunting "your music" in such a primitive way, that's intrusive to others. You don't catch many folks jamming Shalocins out the window of their ride. |

I'm very gracious at red lights, and on the bus, especially when it's Hijokaidan or Richard Ramirez I'm grooving to! |

Kickass Shalocins jams
