I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

  Fri. 8/17/12 12:20pm Cecile:

  Fri. 8/17/12 12:20pm Cheri Pi:

Nice segue!!!!
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:20pm Cheri Pi:

Hey PPC!, Cecile! Hey Bryce!
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:22pm Cheri Pi:

not to beat a dead horse but C-money....look what that rascal BT found:http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/rick-rubins-house-1/
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:23pm βrian:

Elaine Radigue makes me hungry, apparently.
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 12:23pm bryce:

hey, all!
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:25pm βrian:

With each alternating note, I hear "Pad," then "Thai."
Pad Thai, Pad Thai ...
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:26pm Cheri Pi:

I could REALLY go for pad thai
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:26pm Cecile:

wow, he should invite us over, man.

Brian, HA! I'm going out for Thai food in about 2 minutes
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:27pm fred:

@βrian: her music makes me sleepy. I like it, but it's demanding, and my experience tells me that going to a performance of her music on a few hours of sleep is not a good idea
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:29pm βrian:

I can see the Thai food cart from my window ...
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:29pm fred:

I'd go for pad thai immediately if only I knew a good place for it
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:31pm BSI:

working from home... aint no Thai nuthin' up here.
Pouting like a stuffed Rubin with the teeth in crooked.
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 12:31pm bryce:

but aren't you wearing an injera kilt?
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:32pm fred:

@βrian: In a sense, that's cruel, literally tantalizing. Then again, it means you can get it whenever you want
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:32pm BSI:

Somebody email me some drunken noodle (veg & tofu) pls. Or gang pak. or something. With thai-iced-coffee. thx.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:33pm BSI:

Or just have it delivered by a team of eunuchs wearing injera kilts and false Rubin beards.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:33pm Cheri Pi:

really βrian, just post my order here to the comment board. veg/tofu padthai no egg 10 spicy.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:35pm Mr Lowry:

Just tuned in. Has this track been playing for a half an hour?
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:36pm βrian:

Will do. They may have to deliver as an attachment. Fresh lime is included.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:36pm Mike East:

@BSI - you may have just decided what I have for lunch today.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:36pm Cheri Pi:

yes it has ML.
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 12:36pm bryce:

thousands of years...
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:36pm Mike East:

...or maybe the vegetarian duck.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:37pm brad:

*....here comes the guitar solo*
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:37pm βrian:

Most ducks I now are vegetarian.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:38pm Cheri Pi:

And the segue from the last dj was Eliane Radigue Adnos II to Adnos II.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:38pm Mr Lowry:

So it's an excerpt.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:39pm BSI:

@Mike East: the Malaysian place near my ex-office had a (rumored to be) fine veg.duck... I never found out, as I was (and remain) totally hooked on the curry gluten...
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:39pm Mike East:

Seitanic Duck.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:39pm BSI:

Jeezus Bryce, once again your show is a solid wall of food.
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 12:41pm bryce:

i only have myself to blame
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:44pm βrian:

"I knew I was the man with the master plan. To make you wiggle and jiggle like seitan."
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:44pm northguineahills:

The new Thai place, Sage, has really good mock duck (On Graham Ave).
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:46pm Ike:

Now I want to go out to Chao Thai in Elmhurst, Queens. I might even get away with it. Nobody else showed up at work today. I'm alone and can blast Eliane Radigue from the speakers at top volume.
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 12:47pm bryce:

make those list of urls float into the air
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:48pm Cheri Pi:

I wish Cecile would hurry back and report on her lunch.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:49pm raga:

hullo
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 12:49pm bryce:

not sure how it sounds compressed and encoded, but this piece is pretty hallucinatory when really blasted
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 12:50pm bryce:

hey! haven't seen you for a while!
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:50pm Cheri Pi:

I'm having a tiny bag of salsita chips for breakfast/lunch.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:51pm Mr Lowry:

When the drums kick in, it's gonna be orgasmic.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:51pm Cheri Pi:

Bryce, I can assure you that I'm pretty fucked up on this piece right now.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:54pm fred:

I think I'm gonna have to leave and check those reports of a good Thai place a few miles away. I hope they're not closed for the summer, though chances are they are. I'll be walking to there and back so see you all on another playlist!
Bryce, Eliane Radigue is always like this to me, but it never really works on my crappy computer speakers, which is why I can still move
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:55pm βrian:

Bon appétit !
Fri. 8/17/12 12:56pm aaron in chicago:

this is mixing nicely with the every-20-minutes roar of jet fighters practicing for this weekend's air show
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 12:57pm bryce:

all speakers should weight 120 lbs. vote bryce in 2015
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:57pm raga:

i am a total sucker for the glacial drone. if i told you how many continuous times i listened to folke rabe's What?? on single repeat, you would not believe me.
  Fri. 8/17/12 12:58pm BSI:

Woofers stuffed with curry gluten.
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 1:00pm bryce:

What??
  Fri. 8/17/12 1:00pm fred:

Bryce, this shall be my goal: my speakers should be heavier than me. With that being said, I'm off in search of pad thai.
Fri. 8/17/12 1:01pm Steve in Tulsa:

I am going to need to wash my ears after this.
Fri. 8/17/12 1:01pm Ken of Brooklyn:

Deep Listening Friday, THANKS Bryce, loving the Radique!!!!!
  Fri. 8/17/12 1:03pm andymorphic:

darlek dance party
  Fri. 8/17/12 1:16pm Ike:

Darlek? Phonetic spelling?
  Fri. 8/17/12 1:17pm Carmichael:

Sorry to change the subject, but there's a place down the road that makes a killer chana masala. 1 hour till liftoff! Hi Bryce.

Back from having Pad Thai. Lots of lime and chilies ... Mmmm.
  Fri. 8/17/12 1:21pm Roberr:

Man this Pussy Riot and Assange thing bugs me! Thanks for tunes.
  Fri. 8/17/12 1:25pm Stanley:

Curry, Pad Thai, channa masala!! Don't you guys know I'm a hunger crazed food addict?
  Fri. 8/17/12 1:26pm Carmichael:

Madonna had to stick her uninvited fat ass into the middle of it as well. Are Jackson Browne and Darryl Hannah next?
  Fri. 8/17/12 1:32pm bruceleh:

After this, looks like I'll have to dig out my Grease Odyssey premium.

  Fri. 8/17/12 1:50pm funtimes:

sounds somewhere around the liquid sky days strange
  Fri. 8/17/12 1:56pm Cecile:

Back from some lovely red curry with super-fresh veg and shrimps.
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:00pm northguineahills:

Yeah, funtimes, I thought it was Spacetime Continuum when this piece started.
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:05pm Roberr:

I remember the movie Liquid Sky with those Heroin/orgasm aliens
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:06pm Cheri Pi:

that sounds lovely Cecile.
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:07pm northguineahills:

Ironically, the movie Liquid Sky was often shown when dj's from the rec label Liquid Sky used to perform, or I mean, not so ironically.
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:21pm northguineahills:

All of Bryce's selections have had so much reverb I had to make sure I didn't have multiple WFMU streams running at the same time.
Fri. 8/17/12 2:21pm tim from champaign:

Cool! I found Tod Dockstader's Quartermass on vinyl a few weeks ago. Good listening.
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 2:24pm bryce:

nice! he's a really interesting guy, too
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:29pm northguineahills:

Ok, we're hitting the hard sauce now w/ Xenakis. Yum!
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:30pm Mike East:

@BSI - Drunken noodle w/ tofu and a thai iced tea has arrived...i'm scanning it now, so you should get it shortly. enjoy!
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:34pm fred:

Just back from a failed quest for pad thai. Of course the place was closed in August. I'll have to settle for plain white rice with a Xenakis topping... not that bad
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:34pm dcp:

I just had Vace pizza if anyone's interested...it was ok.
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:38pm Woo:

Spinach and cheese stromboli from Sbarro, also OK. The Air Show jet fighters in Chicago must also be eating lunch. Quiet for now.
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:39pm northguineahills:

Burned out from cooking this week. Won't make anything fancy-smancy
Fri. 8/17/12 2:41pm Nate in Detroit:

Every time I hear this track I swear it's from "The Shining" soundtrack, but every time I'm wrong.
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 2:43pm bryce:

yeah, i wish they'd stop playing it all the time. it's really killing it for me.
Fri. 8/17/12 2:47pm Nate in Detroit:

ha, and by "every time" i mean this time and the last/ time i heard it when you played it in april of last year (had to check the archives for that one)
Fri. 8/17/12 2:48pm Nate in Detroit:

*last/first time
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:48pm john:

@Woo: I'm down at Chicago and Lake Shore. I swear our entire building hopped an inch or two when one of the planes went by.
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 2:48pm bryce:

  Fri. 8/17/12 2:56pm john:

A couple of years ago during air show weekend I was running along the lakefront when a fighter jet dove out of the sky and leveled out about 100 ft above me before screaming south. I was listening to the peak of Nina Simone's "You'll Never Walk Alone"...it was over before I knew what was happening.
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:57pm paula pc:

bryce you are KILLING it today. Back-to-back Greeks no less. EF HARISTO (sorry for the roman letters)
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:58pm Cheri Pi:

this is the scary part....
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:58pm northguineahills:

This show me happy today. It's all Bryce's fault.
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:58pm Cheri Pi:

haha, when Bryce back announces...
  Fri. 8/17/12 2:59pm fred:

Bryce if you ever stop in Paris, let me know. I'll try to get you to meet interesting people, see cool gigs and find rare records
  Fri. 8/17/12 3:00pm Woo:

Excellent show. Now if those jet fighters would stop flying over the city I could concentrate on my work.
  Fri. 8/17/12 3:00pm sádlo:

Kurt's laugh just sounded like a jack-in-the-box opening
  Fri. 8/17/12 3:02pm Bas, NL:

Thanks for the beautiful sounds Bryce!
Avatar Fri. 8/17/12 3:08pm bryce:
