Successful shiftage!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm
Doug Schulkind:

Hello pussy rioters!
  12:20pm
northguineahills:

So, today you're "Doug Schulkind". Some day you're just "Doug S" or "drummer some". So confusing.

I think MSM just love the story b/c they love saying Pussy Riot. And hey, whatever works.
  12:21pm
cultural biass:

'shiftage'. Yeah.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm
Doug Schulkind:

I am Doug Schulkind when I am commenting on my own playlists. Doug S when commenting on others' playlists. Drummer Some when I forget who the hell I am.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm
Doug Schulkind:

Of course, I followed my own rules, I'd be Doug S here. Oh well.

What are you gonna do, jail me for two years?
  12:25pm
Webhamster Henry:

I love this Steinski Time Warp.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm
Doug Schulkind:

Steinski Time Warp sounds like a nice name for novel.
  12:27pm
Carmichael:

With credit for time served.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm
Doug Schulkind:

Yes, Carm, but only Mastercard and Visa. No American Express.
  12:29pm
northguineahills:

Well, I think that cleared everything up.
  12:31pm
Matt from Springfield:

Nothin' like a Steinski to bring on the weekend!

They re-baselined work computers to Windows 7 last night--and EVERYTHING is off with my box. Been going through, trying to bring some sense of order to mine. Did enjoy most of GTDS however, and now join y'all for Steinski!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm
Doug Schulkind:

@Matt from Springfield
It is kind of scary how close the word baselined is to Vaselined.
  12:34pm
northguineahills:

Great, now I'll never pronounce baselined correctly ever again.
  12:35pm
Matt from Springfield:

Vaseline, Baseline, especially if you're IT, it's all the same kind of cheek-spreading! ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm
Doug Schulkind:

This next segue is gonna THROW YOU for a loop.
  12:36pm
Matt from Springfield:

@NGH: Bass a lean...bass fish, without all the fat!

And I have observed Doug using "Doug Schulkind/Doug S./Drummer Some" interchangably, though on (other DJ's) playlists I have always seen him comment as Doug S.
  12:38pm
lewis:

Tahitian music alway confuses me - I *always* mistake it for southern africa...
  12:38pm
Honey Water:

Bryce's one note soundscape matches up with so many of the Steinski tracks. Cool two streaming.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm
Doug Schulkind:

Hey HW, does your significant other ever come home from work and call, "Hi Honey Water, I'm home"?
  12:40pm
Matt from Springfield:

Wow, "Pepper" vs. Manson mash-up! Steinski must've been the first person to do that!
  12:41pm
northguineahills:

I think I'll do that Honey Water. Eliane Radigue would work well. Haven't simulcasted both shows in a while.
  12:44pm
Honey Water:

He comes home at lunch by surprise sometimes, but no, he calls me by my "pet" name. :) Hate when he springs by on me though. Carlos, my poolboy, has gotten as swift as Usain Bolt -- even with dropped trou.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm
Carlos:

Sorry...can't comment....gotta run...
  12:49pm
northguineahills:

Man, Steinski really loves Odelay...., and for good reason.
  12:49pm
Honey Water:

@ngh: I missed much of the beginning and a few other parts, too -- dratted phone calls -- but the one-note worked very well on the musical parts I *have* caught thus far.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm
Doug Schulkind:

If you scan through his playlists, you can see how he wears his obsessions on his turntable. Bless him.
  12:50pm
Honey Water:

Carlos, hope you topped off the pool with fresh honey water per usual?
  12:51pm
dewey spiderwebs:

do we think that protesters will now carry signs that state "Free Pussy"? Will that be confusing?
  12:53pm
Honey Water:

When Fiona Apple first made the scene, Philo and I immediately saw her as a perfect other-half of Beck. We really wanted them to become a couple. Oh well. Maybe in a parallel universe.
  12:55pm
cultural biass:

Aks not what you can do for your pussy.
re: what your pussy can do for you
  12:55pm
Honey Water:

Now Bryce's one-note increases the ominous sections of the show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm
Doug Schulkind:

Beck and all his Scientologist worm friends would love to sink their fangs into Ms. Apple, no doubt.
  12:57pm
Matt from Springfield:

More with jelly rolls!
@HW: I bet the insects really LOVE that pool in the summer! :)
  12:58pm
Honey Water:

@biass: I resemble that remark.
@Doug: I had not known about Beck's view-skew until it was mentioned recently around these parts. That's a shame. Guess then Fiona dodged a bullet.
  1:00pm
northguineahills:

I actually have Eliane Radigue's "Adnos". (what Bryce is playing) It's blast to turn up the hi-fi and chill out
  1:00pm
Honey Water:

@Matt: Nah, the wonderful So IN bats keep the populations of nasty buggers down.

BTW, that comment of mine at 12:55 had a math result fitting the ominous stuff I bespoke. I've learned now to make some quick edit, however, so I'll get a new math problem. Problem solved. :)
  1:02pm
Honey Water:

Later, gators! Good and safe weekends all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm
Doug Schulkind:

Seeya Honey!
  1:04pm
Matt from Springfield:

As I like to say: TGI GTDS! :)

Great shows today Doug! Everybody, have a great weekend!
  1:05pm
northguineahills:

Fun week as always, Doug, see you next week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06pm
Doug Schulkind:

Stay Pussy, everyone!
