This is probably obvious, but Jason - have you tried yoinking the cable out and re-inserting it back again?

Just, note, if, when you yoink, don't yoink with your full body strength as that amount of strength is not required. You may find with that much yoinkage you may fall back and damage yourself and or some studio equipment in the process.

i think it might be a driver problem, too, but the problem of updating a keyboard driver without actually being able to use a keyboard is significant.

Hi Jason. If you are using Windows 7, please open the control panel and click 'Ease of Access Centre', then locate 'Start On-Screen Keyboard'. This will help you function until you acquire a new keyboard.
