Clay:
Hi Caryn! | |
|
Thu. 8/2/12 6:05pm
Matt from Springfield:
And the Street Sixteen! Giving the Dusty Show its essential sound, and cleaning up the streets of NYC at the same time! (Glad those roving street record collectors didn't give you trouble...)

Matt from Springfield:
Hi Caryn! | |
|
Thu. 8/2/12 6:06pm
Matt from Springfield:
@Clay: You've played that Midnight Cowboy song as an instrumental before, haven't you?
|
Thu. 8/2/12 6:06pm
Clay:
Hi Al! | |
|
Thu. 8/2/12 6:07pm
Clay:
Not that particular version, Matt. There's probably 49of them.
|
Thu. 8/2/12 6:09pm
Clay:
For the record, I really struggled with my micro-cassette recorder this week. Treble drop-off, tape speed issues. It made editing very difficult. On top of that, I have been asking too many of the same questions all the time. Revamp needed.
|
Thu. 8/2/12 6:10pm
Matt from Springfield:
@Clay: Ah, but it IS a version of it. Wondered where that tune came from. Was there audio problems with your half of the interview? Or is that a new thing you're trying, re-dubbing your questions between the answers?
|
Thu. 8/2/12 6:10pm
Timb:
Hi Clay! Greetings again from Florida. The Dusty Show is always the highlight of any Thursday workday for me. Break a leg!

Thu. 8/2/12 6:11pm

You're a brave man walking around NYC not only making eye contact, but asking people questions about politics! Be careful with the wackos.
|
Thu. 8/2/12 6:11pm
Clay:
Correct Matt, that;s why I did that.

If you need a revamp, Clay, you could take advantage of the olympics and ask obscure sports questions. "So, who do you think is going to win in the dressage event?"
|
Thu. 8/2/12 6:16pm
Caryn:
Oh, come on, Bono, there were way worse haircuts!

|
Thu. 8/2/12 6:17pm

True. Is his horse actually competing in the dressage, or is that just a joke I keep hearing?
|
Thu. 8/2/12 6:18pm

Unfortunately, too many Everest climbers nowadays are tourists who are dragged up and down the mountain with tons of oxygen tanks. They don't train, they don't climb properly, and they risk the lives of others so they can say "I climbed Everest." No you didn't, you were carried up and down the damn mountain!

Hey Clay, Love your show. I was in 10th grade in 1975 at Ferris HS in Downtown JC when I saw the Stones in 75 at the Garden. The Ohio Players "Fire" was played before a 100 piece steel band opened up and played a set including the great Scott Joplin song "The Entertainer" that was popular then for its role in the classic movie "The Sting. " Were you at the show?

@Caryn: At least historically that's how Irish cuisine was! Irish-American cuisine has been like that too, but in the last century I'm sure it's dramatically improved. Just what constitutes "modern Irish" cuisine I wonder about.

To Clay and others: De pie, cantar que vamos a triunfar. Y así verás tu canto y tu vida florecer. @Matt: true. Kidding aside, I like Irish food, especially the seafood. Incidentally, the best Spanish and Italian restaurants I've ever been to have both been in Ireland.
