Listener comments!

  12:09pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Bronwyn must have dropped off some egregious technical errors.
  12:10pm
andymorphic:

i scream you scream
  12:15pm
Pasqualie Amouri Infidado:

Jamming with Kamikazi, and working in the yard on a beautiful day! What more can one want!!
  12:19pm
Cecile:

hi, all! Love the color scheme today
  12:20pm
Cecile:

I heard Mudvayne's "Dig" for the first time in forever. They lost something when they stopped dressing up like angry hedgehogs.
Avatar 12:23pm
kamikaze:

Thanks for tuning in everyone! MIKE SCHEIDT of YOB is our Peer Pressure guest! He'll be on the phone, but live, so please post any of your questions here!
  12:30pm
Rodney:

Mike Scheidt has such a distinctive voice as well as a unique guitar style and tone. You can hear a million doom bands but you always can tell when he is involved.
  12:31pm
Cecile:

Mudvayne: Better or after losing hedgehog makeup?

Seattle: are there now more food trucks than people there?

What's in the water up there that all ya'll bring forth these terrifying dark bands?

Trick question: where do you go when Taco Bell is closed?
  12:34pm
Cecile:

Correction:

Mudvayne Better before or after losing hedgehog makeup?

Extra Credit: where do you go when Taco Bell is closed?
  12:35pm
fbi:

according to the interwebs, YOB is no more...
  12:36pm
Cecile:

I never know what the hell I'm going to hear when a Sigh track comes on.
  12:36pm
paula pc:

am really in love with this Sigh record
  12:37pm
paula pc:

@ Cecile - JINX of sorts!!!
  12:37pm
Droll:

Cecile, Depending on the neighborhood here in Seattle, Amazon Fresh trucks are as common as Cosmo.com cars and bikes were circa 1999-2000. People still outnumber grocery delivery trucks on my block.
  12:37pm
Pasqualie Amouri Infidado:

Was just joined on the deck by some guest listeners!!!! Oh Boy!!!
  12:38pm
Cecile:

Oh, I should have been more clear. Food trucks - like taco, or hamburger or some kind of schmancy pork belly slider thing everyone loves but tastes like that one bit in the pork and beans you never really liked.
  12:41pm
MD:

Have you guys heard..."Excellent Horse-like Lady" IT ROCKS!!!!!
Avatar 12:41pm
kamikaze:

fbi: what's your source? I don't think that's true. He's got a solo record out now, but I don't think Yob is done...
  12:43pm
Droll:

Cecile, Oh! I was just wondering the other day about all those Amazon Fresh trucks, I guess I slipped that in subconciously. Are you talking about the metal plated pig BBQ truck making the rounds lately? I skipped it, smelled of ketchup.
  12:44pm
Cecile:

There's that, and the Korean tacos, and any number of things I see on the television. They have their own show now, you know.
  12:45pm
fbi:

kamikaze: the always questionable wikipedia was my source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Scheidt
  12:45pm
Cecile:

I was all over them until I discovered this Lebanese-Spanish place near my work that is not on wheels but is ridiculously cheap.
  12:46pm
tim from champaign:

I have a question for Mike. Has he tried the Yob burger at Kuma's in Chicago?
  12:46pm
Cecile:

ooooh, good question tim!!!!!
  12:49pm
tim from champaign:

The Yob burger ar Kuma's has Smoked Gouda, Bacon, Roasted Red Peppers, Roasted Garlic Mayo.
  12:49pm
dc pat:

free food at work today but not until 1pm. I'm freakin starving!
  12:54pm
Cheri Pi:

Just in time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12:57pm
Cecile:

tim, the smoky topping must either refer to yob's incendiary quality or what it's good to do to their music.
  12:58pm
Cheri Pi:

This rules.
  12:59pm
tim from champaign:

Cecile, that would be my follow up question for Mike. Are the toppings appropriate for a Yob burger?
  12:59pm
Cecile:

The Megadeth burger has Arizona-style toppings. I guess that's because ham and bull manure wouldn't sell.
  1:01pm
Cheri Pi:

I have to listen to today's show in one year, and be in a virtual meeting in the other ;/
  1:02pm
Cecile:

one year? Do you think it will hold up after that long? :D
  1:03pm
Cecile:

tim, yes, that makes sense.
  1:05pm
Cecile:

Jerry Reed is pretty amazing.
  1:08pm
Droll:

Cecile@12:44, Actually, I'm not entirely up to speed on that tele-vision thing, so your mention is the first I've heard of the realityification of lunchtime in Seattle. Thanks for the clue! . o O (Yes, I exist in a time warp)
  1:10pm
Cecile:

it's actually a program called Eat Street that covers food trucks all over the nation, but there are a large preponderance of trucks in the Pacific NW.
  1:14pm
chris:

Can we call Mike, Father Yob?
  1:16pm
Cheri Pi:

I just saw Municipal Waste and was thinking that right before you said it!
  1:28pm
paula pc:

this NEVER gets old
  1:30pm
Cecile:

one of the few tracks I like with Bruce singing. Good choice.
  1:31pm
Cecile:

YES.
  1:33pm
chris:

RJD can wail! Awesome set, Mike!
  1:35pm
Cheri Pi:

*flick
  1:36pm
Cecile:

LOOK OUT
  1:42pm
sleyja:

Yeah. Great set!
  1:44pm
Cecile:

It was 1/2 of this guy being drunk, an the other half being live GIllan era Sabbath. It's a good vid!
  1:45pm
Cheri Pi:

Here's the video: http://youtu.be/vz44xS5MzYE of Trashed!
  1:45pm
sleyja:

Love that record too! Probably the most hated Black Sabbath record though.
  1:46pm
Cheri Pi:

I'm going to rock out to all of these albums tonight and love them 2x as much!
  1:48pm
um:

Terrible. Sabbath without Ozzy is questionable... YOB is killer, though.
  1:48pm
Cheri Pi:

"Trashed" relates how Gillan crashed Ward's car during an alcohol-fuelled race around the grounds of the recording studio
  1:49pm
Cecile:

YEAH
  1:51pm
Cheri Pi:

Everything so far sounds like what would have been carved onto lockers and blaring out of the shop classroom in Seattle where I grew up in the early 80's-I loved it all & also Duran Duran...
  1:52pm
Cecile:

It sounds like all the stuff coming out of my roommate Mary K. Wnuk's back bedroom. Watching her TV, I became a huge Priest fan.
  1:54pm
Cecile:

at age 22.
  1:57pm
Cecile:

DAMN gotta go.
Thanks, Mike, Diane, board for all the fun.
  2:21pm
sleyja:

Awesome show today.
  2:22pm
northguineahills:

The whole Holy Mountain? (crosses fingers)
  2:23pm
Cheri Pi:

I saw this live (the whole Holy Mountain)...at Kutshers-Oi vay!
  2:24pm
Cheri Pi:

And I can also report that Matt Pike was wearing a t-shirt, at least by the pool where normally you wouldn't wear one...
  2:39pm
mjgoins:

Wow it's really Classic Jams time.
  2:46pm
witchy woman:

love Burning Witch! this dude sounds LIKE A WITCH.
  2:52pm
Luna:
