Walter Gropius and Alma Mahler's's daughter, Manon, died of polio at age 18. Berg wrote his Violin Concerto in memory of her (it is inscribed "to the memory of an angel").

Hey Bethany - tuned in a bit late as was seeing MIB3... but soon enough to hear you're leaving us... truly a bum deal for us but sounds like it will be interesting for you. Hope you have a really fine time up there and think of all your devoted listeners often. I have been quietly listening out here in the west and enjoying every minute of your shows... just too bad they have not been 3 hours each!... anyway, for what it's worth - thanks!
