  Fri. 4/13/12 9:21pm slazenger:

I am trying to remember hearing a song that sucked on Pseu's Thing With A Hook. I dare say it has never happened. In fact I dare say she is my most trusted music show host of all my radio history. So there. Put that in your chaw jowl and chew it.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:23pm slazenger:

wait a minute, this song sounds like it may suck...nope it doesn't suck. See? Pseu is the best.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:26pm Destroit:

Ha, no, it sucks slaz. Pseu is spectacular, but nothing is 100%.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:26pm EastVanHalen:

Oh, agreed. IMO this is the best thing on radio.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:26pm tinaun:

did that song just namedrop taking tiger mountain (by strategy)

gets a plus in my book
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:27pm G:

It is theoretically possible that a song is fine, and the issue is that occasionally some of us suck at listening.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:29pm Destroit:

Tinaun, hello. I like you. @G: perpetually grinding knowledge, love you to buddy.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:30pm G:

bullseye :-)
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:32pm Destroit:

Just read your last comment G, great stuff.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:33pm tinaun:

thanks destroit.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:33pm 1mckrs:

Great opening set.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:34pm PiLA:

Sounds good Pseu ! (btw: I'm typing this with my thumb in my mouth and my pinky on the keyboard)
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:34pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Somebody get this broad a friggin burger for her lady bag.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:34pm Firebottle:

If I had won the Megamillions jackpot, 600+ million dollars, I would donate it all to WFMU. That would keep the station running until the year 2600! (of course, unless they devalue the dollar to nothing).
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:38pm Destroit:

And outta nowhere comes Bark!
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:39pm Barkevious Shabazz:

When I saw what I paid in federal taxes this year, I would much rather have seen it go to fmu than the clods in dc.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:39pm Mr. Zero:

Is that Lee Ranaldo song from his new solo album?
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:40pm Andrew Waterloo:

I would only give 600 million to FMU if they came up with some seriously cool swag.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:40pm Mr. Zero:

Stereolab is one the things I miss most about the '90s.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:41pm G:

@Zero: Yes, "Between the Times and the Tides"
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:42pm Mr. Zero:

Pseu Pseu Pseudio!
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:42pm EastVanHalen:

This is giving me San Francisco flashbacks
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:43pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Ola senior Destroit!
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:43pm rebec:

  Fri. 4/13/12 9:44pm Joe D.:

that guy is totally right about crack :(
Fri. 4/13/12 9:50pm Jettison Ostinato Bravura Brandolieder:

Wasn't that Stereolab song used in the Kids in the Hall movie? Brain Candy? Wow, this brings back memories of copying tickets at Kinkos so we could see them at Maxwell's.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:51pm Andrew Waterloo:

Wow, Spooky :) now there's nostalgia for me
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:53pm EastVanHalen:

I was listening to this a couple of days ago. Still love it, though I'm kind of baffled about why.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:54pm tinaun:

i always love this song
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:54pm Andrew Waterloo:

@East, part of the charm I guess.. available on the Free Music Archive if anybody is interested
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:54pm Destroit:

Woof woof bark! All good people, let's have fun. Wings are in a fyck you mood and I love it.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:55pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Sure beats Snowbird. And rhymes moon and June.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:55pm 1mckrs:

It's clouds' illusion I recall.
  Fri. 4/13/12 9:57pm Destroit:

  Fri. 4/13/12 10:11pm G:

Foot nibbling fishies -- as my students say, "that is NASTY"
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:14pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Anne Murray sure could fill out a cable knit sweater.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:16pm Destroit:

Ha. Wings win, pens get stomped, if the kings beat the Canucks, I'll consider it a good evening.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:29pm Destroit:

The vinyl skyway track is in my top three, thanks Pseu, keep movin'
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:29pm tinaun:

Thanks for another great show.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:37pm Barkevious Shabazz:

  Fri. 4/13/12 10:37pm LPS:

Large Panties , Fifth Row , Nick Lowe . Pure Pop For LPS
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:38pm G:

Billy Joel is the true "audience tester" track so far in the show :-)
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:42pm Scott:

My God, I thought that Billy Joel track might have been Badfinger! And here I've always hated Billy Joel and loved Badfinger. My sense of reality has been shaken like an infant.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:42pm G:

In spots, Joel's voice reminded me of McCartney. That was weird.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:44pm 12539:

G, the same occurred to me.
Fri. 4/13/12 10:44pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Yay for the Banana Splits!
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:45pm G:

@12539: I wonder if it was on purpose. Weird, no matter what.

Talala takes me back to 1971 Saturday morning cartoons.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:46pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Snork and Shemp. Underdogs.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:48pm Mike Sin:

@Scott, 12539 -- I just missed the Billy Joel track, but it might sound Badfinger-ish to you because the original vinyl LP was mastered too fast, so his vocal is a half-step higher thaan where it should be. I think the CD is speed corrected, though.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:50pm Scott:

Oh, so that's the one. I had heard about Cold Spring Harbor, but never heard any of the songs. He should have stayed sped up, I think. Thanks, Mike.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:51pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Mastering speed cred. Who knew?
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:51pm 12539:

Now I wonder what McCartney sounds like a half-step down.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:53pm Barkevious Shabazz:

Late period Anne Murray.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:53pm Destroit:

Pseu, love it, good stuff. Kings, time to start whipping Canucks.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:56pm Mike Sin:

@12539 -- If you watch the first Beatles' performance on the "Ed Sullivan Show, " the entire band is tuned a half-step down (presumably to save their voices) -- so there's an instance to hear McCartney sing to the flat note, as it were.
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:57pm rebec:

fyi: if you speed up "i'm on fire" by bruce, you'll get dolly parton. great party trick!
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:58pm G:

bruce --> dolly in audio only, not in video :-)
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:58pm 12539:

Geez Mike, what don't you know?
  Fri. 4/13/12 10:59pm Barkevious Shabazz:

This Eric Carmen takes the cake. Key changes!
  Fri. 4/13/12 11:00pm Barkevious Shabazz:

And then there's Bees in the Trap.
  Fri. 4/13/12 11:04pm PiLA:

You know what they say, "Big suspenders, big _____"
  Fri. 4/13/12 11:05pm Destroit:

No cat jokes, I love cats. My cats absolutely freak out to Noise & syrup. Speaker attack.
Fri. 4/13/12 11:08pm john and bex:

Hey Pseu! Just in from seeing The Baseball Project, and straight into Hookworld...that counts as a pretty damn good evening.
  Fri. 4/13/12 11:12pm G:

I love the "mic break monologue / dumbass comment deletion" multitasking.
Fri. 4/13/12 11:13pm john and bex:

We'll stay up.
  Fri. 4/13/12 11:20pm Mike Sin:

Hey, thanks, Pseu -- I like typin' out the useless fax on the comment board, but of course, I come here to hear you program the power poppin' psalms.
  Fri. 4/13/12 11:20pm Destroit:

J & b , I'll squeeze you, if if helps...
Fri. 4/13/12 11:22pm john and bex:

Awfully kind of you to offer, but we"ll pass all the same.
  Fri. 4/13/12 11:35pm Destroit:

Bang bang Pseu, thank you.
Fri. 4/13/12 11:47pm john and bex:

About time people started covering Sagittarius. She's got a whole album of Curt Boettcher covers coming soon.
  Fri. 4/13/12 11:56pm 12539:

(Great show Pseu)
  Fri. 4/13/12 11:57pm dagwood:

Pseu: Terrific set, great show...i'm drifting.
