  Fri. 3/23/12 9:10am ausmanx:

the changing of the clocks means that we folks in the antipodes get a chance to listen Long Rally at a slightly more civil hour, so good evening all, hope to be with you for the rest of our winter...
Avatar Fri. 3/23/12 9:13am Scott:

Very nice! Good evening.
  Fri. 3/23/12 9:13am miss cheri:

  Fri. 3/23/12 9:14am pierre:

Bonjour Scott !!
Avatar Fri. 3/23/12 9:14am Scott:

I need a pick me up. Draggin
Avatar Fri. 3/23/12 9:14am Scott:

Hi pierre!
Fri. 3/23/12 9:17am Wired in Baltimore:

Scott -- Grab a 5-hour Energy Drink(TM) and consume 60% of it ... that'll ensure you make it through the show at least
  Fri. 3/23/12 9:17am ranjit:

New Track is totally hypnotic!
Fri. 3/23/12 9:17am Wired in Baltimore:

to be clear, I am not advising you to drink Ensure (TM)
Avatar Fri. 3/23/12 9:18am Scott:

ha--3 hour energy.
Fri. 3/23/12 9:19am Wired in Baltimore:

@ ranjit -- agreed, I am likewise hypnotized
Avatar Fri. 3/23/12 9:19am Scott:

5 Day Energy.
Fri. 3/23/12 9:20am Wired in Baltimore:

a.k.a. crystal meth (or so I've read)
Avatar Fri. 3/23/12 9:22am Scott:

I've heard sleep gives you energy when you're awake. Or so I've heard.
Fri. 3/23/12 9:23am Wired in Baltimore:

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ensure

"Recipients are either individuals unable to eat or experiencing undesirable weight loss, through age, infirmity or disease, or individuals like captives who are on a hunger strike, who are undergoing involuntary force-feeding."

I have yet to see the ads for the last 2 segments of the Ensure market (but would like to)
  Fri. 3/23/12 9:23am ranjit:

Don't give me banana, crystal meth and yam at the same time.
Fri. 3/23/12 9:35am tim from champaign:

So last night Apache Dropout played in town. 2 local bands were also on the bill. I went down to the show and was pleasantly bowled over when I walked in the door because Electric Jellyfish were on the stage! They hopped on the bill last minute.
  Fri. 3/23/12 9:35am bruceleh:

Not so natural a suggestion, but 8 oz sugar-free RedBull, with (just!) 85 mg caffeine, is a quick way to get a moderate amount of caffeine into your brain quickly
Avatar Fri. 3/23/12 9:35am Scott:

Cool!
Fri. 3/23/12 9:36am tim from champaign:

It was extra special because shows like that are a rarity in my town.
  Fri. 3/23/12 9:39am miss cheri:

ohh btw scott have you ever the movie "friends with benefits" yet?
  Fri. 3/23/12 9:41am miss cheri:

*seen
Avatar Fri. 3/23/12 9:41am Scott:

Not yet.
  Fri. 3/23/12 9:44am miss cheri:

Avatar Fri. 3/23/12 9:50am Scott:

  Fri. 3/23/12 9:52am Scott W:

  Fri. 3/23/12 9:52am miss cheri:

  Fri. 3/23/12 9:54am Cecile:

  Fri. 3/23/12 9:59am miss cheri:

  Fri. 3/23/12 10:02am vanya:

  Fri. 3/23/12 10:05am v:

not that anyone cares abt this stupid thing but FMU is "withdrawn?" http://soundtap.com/madness anyone have any dirt on this captivating story?
Fri. 3/23/12 10:07am Wired in Baltimore:

uyyy ... apparently instead of muting I paused my player while on a call & so I am very far behind & out of sync w/the playlist and comments. I don't want to skip any of these great tracks so Scott if you don't mind please pause the CD/lift the needle until I am caught up, thanks so much (harrrrrr)
Fri. 3/23/12 10:08am tim from champaign:

Are you going to broadcast the taking of your daily constitutional, Scott?
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:09am c2677:

this radio segment pretty much sums up why i fell in love with WFMU. that and Alan Watts back in the day.
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:13am c2677:

@v
the whole thing was a huge fail. both WFMU and our opponent had "duplicate accounts" that could not be verified. so basically, the folks at soundtap don't know how to run a contest, so they couldn't pick a winner of our head-to-head. we forefitted rather than admit defeat in a rigged contest, i assume.
huge fail on soundtap's part.
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:15am G:

I've gone through phases of going to nursing homes to visit elderly relatives. They slug back the Ensure in there like the 20somethings drink Red Bull.
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:29am v:

@c2677 thx. that's what I figured.
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:31am coelacanth:

What's he DOING in there?
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:34am BSI:

I want my entire life to be fed through a panning delay. Editorial meetings would suddenly ROCK LIKE HELL!
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:34am NS Andy:

Is "Failure" no longer in the dictionary?
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:35am coelacanth:

What the HELL is he building in there?
Fri. 3/23/12 10:37am George of Troy:

He's not building a playhouse for the children.
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:37am coelacanth:

NO!!...DONT MILK THAT!
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:38am coelacanth:

yyeessss a Jackhammer should do it.
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:40am bruceleh:

Don't forget to tighten up the Johnson rod on the monitor stand
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:41am northguineahills:

@BSI: There are certain combos of substances that can "sort of" pull that off, but unless you're in a teleconference, it might be hard to do so w/o your colleagues noticing.
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:43am northguineahills:

No jackhammer this morning, I actually got some sleep! :)
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:44am BSI:

My colleagues would probably not be surprised by anything at this point. [returns to the window with grapefruit to do his Peter Fonda bit.... THAT'S THE SUN IN MY HANDS, MAN......]
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:46am northguineahills:

I've been wanting to hear this ambarchi/o'rourke/haino. Thanks!
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:48am northguineahills:

Nice way to start my 3rd dozenth revolution around the day star.
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:51am northguineahills:

Jackhammers sound so much nicer when they're not outside your window at 110+decibels
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:53am tomasz.:

NS Andy: you're right, i just checked and it's not.
  Fri. 3/23/12 10:55am MD:
