It's tough out here for a deejay.
  12:24pm
steve the pimp:

  12:24pm
trs:

No other internet activity here and this audio has been cutting out more often then say, an hour ago, when the conditions were reversed.

Since Part 1
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm
Doug Schulkind:

I've seen no signs of interruptions on this end, trs. Obviously you are being punished for being a slacker.

glenn:

meh. steve the pimp is a douche. i feel sullied.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm
Douche:

Hey, I find that offensive.
  12:32pm
still b/p:

Almost 20 yrs. ago, I saw Claudia do her Blown Sideways show on stage in a wee tiny local theater before she succeeded with it in New York and became a bigger somebody....so it was great to read of that later success.
  12:33pm
kat330:

What's that about cork-popping?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm
Doug Schulkind:

Jeez, the archive for GTDS is already up. That's the fastest turnaround ever.
  12:35pm
Ernst Grafenberg:

"Cork popping" is a euphemism.
  12:36pm
kat330:

No shit, Ernst? :)
  12:36pm
still b/p:

Dominance Perignon, please.
  12:36pm
Ernst Grafenberg:

Well, maybe a little.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm
Doug Schulkind:

I'd rather pop a cork than cop a pork.
  12:38pm
kat330:

It was the first line I heard turning on the stream, so couldn't resist it as an entrance line.
  12:38pm
kat330:

@Doug: Uh, you sure about that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm
Doug Schulkind:

I've thought long and hard about it, kat330, and yes, I am sure.
  12:40pm
kat330:

Not gonna touch that with a, well, you know.
  12:41pm
Ernst Grafenberg:

long and thin gets it in, but short and thick does the trick. or so i'm told.
  12:42pm
Kowalski:

I am ten feet tall and I can be helping.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm
Doug Schulkind:

The importance of being Ernst Grafenberg.
  12:45pm
kat330:

I think I need some gal support here. Katya?? Vicki??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm
Martha:

Got your back, kat330.
  12:46pm
Ernst Grafenberg:

Caryn? Monica? Cecile? Amanda? Julie?
  12:46pm
O.W.:

Given the themes of the day, let us hope is isn't The Impotence of Being Ernst.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm
Doug Schulkind:

Ow indeed.
  12:48pm
Carmichael:

OK, back from validation. I left at Fontella Bass, came back to Ella Fitzgerald!
  12:48pm
kat330:

Ah, good, Martha, my dear! [just away to answer the door for a dude in brown shorts.]
  12:49pm
kat330:

What were you being validated for, C?
  12:51pm
Carmichael:

I'm sorta exaggerating, kat, but not really ... It's a recurring meeting with my boss, explaining what I've been doing and how I've been earning my keep. After 2 years of layoffs around here, these meetings start to become ominous.
  12:53pm
kat330:

@Carm: Ouch. I can feel how disturbing and unnerving those meetings would be. Sending out luck vibes }}}}}}}}}
  12:54pm
still b/p:

Surprised Eartha Kitt ain't showed up in this playlist to detail her desires and deals to satsify same.
  12:55pm
Carmichael:

Or Nina Simone.
  12:56pm
kat330:

Ahhh, I was JUST gonna type in Nina!
  12:57pm
kat330:

"Buck, you're a whole lotta man...." etc....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm
Doug Schlkind:

This show was programmed 17 years ago. Way before Eartha and Nina.
  12:58pm
kat330:

17 --before? I beg to differ and imagine that's a typo, yes?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm
Doug Schulkind:

@kat330, I really likes your "vibes" @12:53
  1:00pm
kat330:

But actually, Nina was lusty, not a ho, and the theme seems to be the money for honey trade.
  1:01pm
still b/p:

All the hot talk made me transpose & mistype a coupla times. ('eyyy, what's your favorite transposition?)
  1:05pm
kat330:

@still p/b: Whatchoo talkin' about Willis?
@Doug: Thanks! Been using those since the ol' Fidonet days. Especially used when sending healing vibes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06pm
Doug Schulkind:

Thanks for hanging in there, everyone. I'll be back on Tuesday evening at 6pm.
  1:07pm
Carmichael:

FidoNet! I used to cruise the BBS'es way back in the day. I mentioned the programming code COBOL the other day, and the reaction made me feel like Grandpa telling crazy stories.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm
Doug Schulkind:

Not a typo, a bad joke... :-)
  1:08pm
kat330:

Bye and thanks!
  1:08pm
Van in DC:

Thanks Doug
  1:09pm
kat330:

Aha, so DS and still b/p are revealed as one and the same?!
  1:11pm
kat330:

@Carm: "Cruise"? Hm.
  1:11pm
still b/p:

No, my typos and gyroscopically challenged soul are my own.
  1:12pm
kat330:

Whatevs. I'm confused! Have a great weekend all!
