Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm Doug S.:

Hiya Artie! So glad you're on board. Grab a bucket and start bailing.
  5:54pm listener james from westwood:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm Doug S.:

Ahoy NDBOB! (I figure you deserve all caps tonight.)
  5:58pm Artie:

I brought my stirring spoon and a bottle of navy proof gin. Why bail when you can float?
  5:59pm ndbob:

:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm Doug S.:

Merrily down the stream, Artie!
  6:05pm Bec:

Good evening and chin chin Doug and all! I almost wrote Dough. Shows how hungry I am.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08pm Doug S.:

Hey hey Bec! Glad you're here. How is YOUR radio show going? Please feel free to share your info with everyone if we can listen in.
Avatar 🥁 6:08pm Monica:

Sounding fantastic. Doug! I just pledged online at:
wfmu.org... .Hope others do likewise!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm Doug S.:

Or even if we can't!

THANKS MONICA DEAR!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm Doug S.:

And thanks AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN to Listener James from Westwood. For another act of sweet generosity!
  6:11pm Jeff G:

Let me be the first to say, "Woo." "Woo, I say!"
  6:12pm ndbob:

I've been trying to figure out how much I can afford ... the days of mouse pledges are gone
  6:13pm Jeff G:

Listener James = Great American...or Greatest American?
  6:14pm Jeff G:

From whence the "mouse" of today moniker?
  6:15pm ndbob:

Yep.... @Doug - what type of law does your wife teach?
  6:17pm Jeff G:

"tentacles" -- is that what those are, Doug?
  6:17pm listener james from westwood:

aw, shucks, now i blush again.
the mouse (iirc) derives from the original "house of tomorrow" pledge gimmick before the move to jersey city. that became the "house of today" fund once the station was ensconced. this was right around when the internet stream/archives were launching, so the next logical step was the "mouse of today" moniker.
  6:18pm listener james from westwood:

pls correct the above, o fmu mavens, should i have it wrong. my brain is not what it was in the house of tomorrow days.
  6:18pm trsh:

This stream gets damn-near half my fmu listening ears. The top van gogh-y half.
  6:18pm Jeff G:

@ljfw: that actually makes sense!
  6:20pm ndbob:

Thanks James.. wssn't exactly sure.
  6:23pm mark:

Looking forward to receiving the 2X CD premium! & loved the Attica special too!
  6:24pm ndbob:

hard to choose a favorite among those .. so many good ones
  6:25pm listener james from westwood:

there's a reason to pledge, if you need one ... the twilight of the music blogs post megaupload
  6:25pm ndbob:

and yet another great blog down this week
  6:26pm Hugo:

Which blog?
  6:30pm Bec:

thanks for reminding me of all the specials i shall go back and listen to in alphabetical order now. gee that bollywood one was mindbollyowing. (my radio show was good thanks doug, practially nothing even went wrong!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:31pm Doug S.:

Someone should pledge to Bec for the word "mindbollyowing."
  6:32pm ndbob:

@Hugo Liven Things Up With Old Time Music
  6:34pm Bec:

i guess i'll pledge to myself. whoa i gotta have this bachata roja comp. can't afford the risk of possibly not winning the draw - will haave to buy it.
no no no, not Liven things up with a little old timey music!!!!! That site is/was my emotional anchor.
  6:34pm Hugo:

Ah, it's actually closed. On what grounds, I wonder?
  6:36pm ndbob:

Hopefully it will be back - it's the sites fourth incarnation.
  6:40pm Hugo:

I see that the last post listed on Google is vol. 4 of the Harry Smith anthology. I would urge everyone to get it just for the packaging. It's a piece of art as are all the Revenant releases.
  6:45pm Bec:

Let's hope for a fifth and many more.
  6:47pm ndbob:

Indeed Hugo - got that when it came out.
  6:48pm mark:

Thumbs up just for the demonic laughing with echo
  6:49pm ndbob:

add it Doug
  6:49pm listener james from westwood:

that one's a keeper for the premium.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm Doug S.:

Done deal, ndbob and ljfw!
  6:56pm ndbob:

Ok Doug I'm pledged
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm Doug S.:

Yes you DID!
  6:59pm Bec:

Ok me too. All i can afford at this moment (violins play)
  7:01pm Bec:

Thanks for another great show!
  7:02pm ndbob:

indeed - nice fund raising show!
  7:02pm listener james from westwood:

he pitches and he spins. this is a pro, people. respect.
  7:04pm trsh:

hey. Thanks!
  7:04pm listener james from westwood:

wouldn't be a marathon w/o a last-minute station calamity. but it wouldn't be wfmu w/o talented folks to find a way around it. thanks mike!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm Doug S.:

You people so totally RAWK! Thank you thank you thank you!
  1:10am SJ:

What's the interstitial music before Sonny Boy? Been in my head for the last three days!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08am Doug Schulkind:

Thanks for asking, SJ. I inserted that music above — Odell Brown & the Organizers "Tough Tip." Forgot to type it in during the swirl of the show. Someone posted this track on Youtube here:
