Geographically it's Staten Island. Legally it was Richmond County before the creation of "Greater NYC" in the 1890s.

You perhaps cautiously omitted the third thing SI is known for: goombahs, from gym-tan-lundry fist-pumping juiceheads to gen-u-wine wise guys.
