our Christmas surprise was going 50 miles to my mom's house, hearing "meow" loudly, and opening my hood to have the neighbor's cat pop out.

ahhgghh...that's the sad part--it was so freaked out it jumped out my arms and ran under the porch--we tried to get it out but couldn't lure it...then it was gone.
