I learned from my oder siblings who got bullied to join the local Italian gang so the Irish gangs wouldn't mess. On the way to guitar lessons had my guitar commandeered by said gang. They strummed it a few times then gave it back unscathed.

As the youngest, the runt, in a large family, there was plenty beat-downs (in-house and up and down the block), but that's how you learned to stand your goddam ground (not like these NYPD [aka Bloomberg's private army] pussies who confront ordinary people with their helmets, guns, and truncheons).
