i've been roasting my own beans for the past few weeks using a used $3 popcorn popper. bought my first box of green coffee beans a few weeks back. currently sipping on ethiopian beans. loves it.

if I can give you any advice, don't roast indoors! smoke is a guaranteed output of this process (smoke is good!) and always keep the beans moving with a wooden spoon or some other implement. don't want to have a batch where some are done just right and others aren't even warm.

I've been buying Hatian beans from my local mom & pop purveyor of beans. A percentage of the sale (I can't recall the number but it is commendable) goes to rebuilding that nation.

My mom used to travel there back in the late 40s/early 50s and instilled my own sense of wanderlust and worldview with her stories. I miss her....

I had to swap keyboards due to a short caused by tears of Joy. Thank you everyone for your support - I'm a big fan of HotRod fans.
