SLOAN Live: Rocktober Week 3! WFMU’s silent fundraiser continues! Please pledge!
Hey guys! WFMU is in the middle of a Silent Fundraiser spanning the month of October. WFMU is staging tons of events: live bands to listener meetups to get the word out! U know, I’m rockin it w/SLOAN today (Zounds & Wild Flag next week!) SEE the thermometer the top of this page? It shows I’m waay behind my Oct goal and Oct is ½ over! So PLEASE use that form to make a pledge to the Cherry Blossom Clinic so that I can keep bringing you the rock for many months and years to come! Thanx so much for your support and generosity! G'day, Terre! Just resuming listening after Hurricane Irene destroyed the very JC apartment I offered as a place for refuge if you couldn't get home. FEMA came through, but the landlord's actions reminded me of a DK song and a certain evil wish. And the "It could've been worse" mantra is still being sung by those high and dry. Keep well and avoid weather or Wall Street...
