Listener comments!

  3:11am
Andrew:

Hi Bill! Hope you're good.
Interesting music so far, I like the trumpet? in this E-Gaz song.
  3:15am
Bill Mac:

Morning Andrew, I'm here, I'm good.... things are a bit animated at the moment... how's things?
  3:21am
ian:

greetings from the northwest, cool stuff!
  3:22am
Bill Mac:

Morning Ian, throwing out some new stuff this week
  3:24am
Brian in UK:

Mornin' Bill 'n Andrew. It's the Rugby Union World Cup semi finals today. Wales v France. My wifes Welsh & this is a must-see. There's no love lost twixt England & France (in sport anyway).
  3:26am
Brian in UK:

Hey Bill we saw/heard carillons when we went to Belgium, seem to be big in that part of the world.
  3:27am
Andrew:

trying to remove symantec anti virus from a computer...it is a nightmare to remove....O_Q

Strange beeping in this song..

oohh this Malcolm mooney song sounds good...
  3:37am
Kraus:

this Apryl Fool song is the greatest... made my day to hear it again, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
  3:39am
Bill Mac:

I wasn't sure whether I was scaring people away with some of this stuff today... more free jazz in spirit than usual... glad you're up on some of this new stuff... I was forewarned about the new Mooney release (on vinyl here)..
  3:40am
T-Zero:

Morning.

Obviously I'm the odd person out here. Honking geese, emulated urban cacophony and strangled kittens are just not my cup of tea.

But as they say, to each their own and I begrudge no one their noise indulgences. lol
  3:42am
Bill Mac:

Seems there are no sports here at the moment.... once the Yankees finish up their season they should just end the baseball season...
Morning T, we'll be changing it up again.... no worries
  3:43am
Joe D.:

Bill! What is yr WFMU email?
  3:44am
Andrew:

this one is quite good. River Niger. Nice rolling percussion

Also, hi T-Zero ^_^
  3:44am
Bill Mac:

Hey Joe... the link is right there at the bottom of the playlist...
  3:49am
T-Zero:

Evening, Andrew. Sorry about the rain. It's a bit cool here this morning, but otherwise not bad.

Are the Wallabies still in play?
  3:51am
Andrew:

No idea.
Only rugby thing I've seen lately was NZ vs Argentina
  3:52am
T-Zero:

I don't really follow it either, to be candid, but I was kind of rooting for Pocock.

I liked Garreth Thomas to, but I think he's retired, no?
  3:54am
Andrew:

Only sports I follow really are the Formula 1 & some other car racing & the Olympics when they are on. I can watch the AFL, beacsue I get it, soccer & other sports I don't know the rules.
I'd rather play them than watch.

This Teapot song is different...
  3:55am
T-Zero:

That's okay, Andrew, I was sort of asking Brian.
  3:56am
Brian in UK:

Five minutes to kick off. Gotta cut & run.
  3:57am
Brian in UK:

Sorry, T-Zero yes he retired recently, came out of the closet too.
  3:57am
Andrew:

ohhh this is nice...Zola Jesus
  3:58am
Brian in UK:

It was a brave thing to do. Most people have been very supportive.
  4:00am
T-Zero:

Yep. Knew about the coming out, but wasn't sure if he'd retired or not. The only other person I liked aside from those two was Cohen, but he's retired too. And yeah, I admit I'm partial to them because of their advocacy.
  4:02am
Bill Mac:

We’re halfway through WFMU’s Shock and Awetober Silent Fundraiser … only $137 more will put my show at the 50% mark. Please click the pledge link at the top of the page, donate what you can, and score some cool FMU swag as a thank you gift.
  4:03am
Andrew:

oh yeh Bill, last weeks comment session was great ^_^
most of my friends have no clue about most of the bands.

Oh yeh, & I'll put in $10 too ^_^
  4:04am
Bill Mac:

I wanted to thank any and all of you that threw in a little bit...
  4:05am
T-Zero:

I'm so poor... but I'm hoping I'll be able to donate something when my once-a-month check comes toward the end of the month.
  4:08am
T-Zero:

Bill: Thomas is a Welsh rugby player, so is Cohen. Pocock is a ruby player in Australia whose family fled there from Zimbabwe.
  4:12am
Andrew:

I know of Derek jeter...I watch a lot of TV, like the Simpsons ^_^
That Computer Bank song was a dancy one.

I also0 agree Organs In Orbit is better than the Cocktail Capers.

ohhh nice guitar coming in....Evangelista? hmm nice
  4:17am
Martyn:

Great track by Evangelista, like just about everything from Constellation
  4:19am
Bill Mac:

Carla Bozulich was also in a band called Geraldine Fibbers.... and I just had to follow this with a Silver Mt Zion track... hiya Martyn
  4:20am
Martyn:

Hello Bill.
Silver Mt Zion too. It just gets better and better.
  4:21am
T-Zero:

Agreed. Much better now. ;-)
  4:21am
Bill Mac:

Thanks, T.... I wasn't too worried....
  4:22am
T-Zero:

No reason to be, Bill.
  4:24am
Martyn:

Any Frankie Sparo in the dusty WFMU vaults?
  4:27am
Andrew:

oooh this is nice...Japanese female jazz singer! ^_^
  4:28am
Bill Mac:

Got some Frankie Sparo in the queue...
  4:28am
Bill Mac:

This Maki CD is great!
  4:31am
Martyn:

So good to hear FS again, even better than I remember it.
  4:32am
Andrew:

wow, this Frankie Sparo is nice! Not heard of him before, but it's great! ^_^
  4:32am
T-Zero:

Yes, this (Maki) is much more to my taste. Also really like this Sparo. I didn't know who he was.
  4:37am
Bill Mac:

Keep it coming ... A $50.00 pledge gets you the new FMU t-shirt which is only available during this October's pledge drive.
  4:41am
Andrew:

This Supreme Dicks is nice...love the slightly 'off' sounding guitar.
(I also had a problem with it not showing the paypal page & so now you've got 2x $10 pledges ^_^
  4:42am
Andrew:

yay ^_^
organs in orbit!
  4:50am
Bill Mac:

Leave it to the internet to rip people off indiscriminately... hey man, thanks, the $$$ WILL be put to good use...
  4:54am
Andrew:

It is worth it, you guys do a great job ^_^

Loving this version of the look of love.
  4:58am
Bill Mac:

There's a version of the Look of Love that's been eluding me for years now.... a woman singer that totally out smokes Dusty's version of it...
  5:00am
T-Zero:

Vivian Dandridge?
  5:02am

  5:10am
Andrew:

  5:11am
Bill Mac:

This is part of a UK collection of punk bands
  5:12am
Diarmaid:

Yea, its great, the poster I'm thinking about is just for personal use, and also for a party me and a bunch of friends are throwing, there'll be lots and artwork, and performances, it would be very cool to recite his essay if he wanted to...
  5:12am
Bill Mac:

  5:17am
Andrew:

...I wouldn't have described his voice as terrible or idiosyncratic....I liked it ^_^

This Jean Claude Vannier is great...love the voice & music.
  5:17am
T-Zero:

Jean Claude Vannier, if it weren't for the instrumentation I'd have thought you were playing Aznavour
  5:18am
Bill Mac:

Hi Michael! Melvins!!!! I really have to catch them the next time that they're through here.... hope you and the family are well
  5:20am
Andrew:
