Paul, had wonderful beagle named Lubi when I was a kid. She got real sick one time and we took her to the vet who, after a number of tests, diagnosed emphysema. No kidding! And she didn't even smoke that much. (It turned out to be epilepsy.)

After 27 yrs of heavy smoking I quit cold turkey just over a yr ago. Just shy of emphysema. COPD sucks. Wish I could go back in time and slap myself silly for even thinking of starting. Sure miss it though.
