Yep, the geography of "Sausalito Summer Night" has always bugged me silly. Since they blew a gasket on the Grapevine (I-5, middle of the state), they were driving north from LA apparently, so what were they doing north of Frisco in Sausalito? Makes no sense.

We'll see how it goes. I'm not really a rooter. The Yankees never need much help, but I grew up in Detroit and first rooted for the Tigers (1968), and on top of that I have brothers in Tampa and Baltimore. That leaves me with pretty divided AL East loyalties...

This is from an AMG review of Europe '72, Volume 2 (and I thought Keith Jarrett's 10 record Sun Bear Concerts was excessive!).
The set features good sound and the kind of loose performances that Grateful Dead fans treasure in live recordings, though true completists will want the limited-edition, unbelievably large, 73-CD collection Europe '72: The Complete Recordings, issued by Rhino the same month as this relatively modest double CD.
