Well, I can recommend two record stores for them: Green Noise and Discouraged. Don't know what else punks do in the afternoon....

2nd Avenue Records on the west side of Portland used to be great for punk, garage and rock, but I haven't been there for years.

I like Exiled on Hawthorne and Sonic Recollections on Belmont, but they don't get a lot of records very frequently. I hit them once a month or so.

Green Noise is at 2615 SE Clinton St. Exiled and Crossroads are my faves, but not necessarily the best for punk.

Roderick was a sort of contender for the Bowie crown. an american rock songwriter, smartass, sort of post glam, but way too much finesse for punk. He would fit in well with early Tubes, Sparks, etc. Cynical rock lyrics. Not too bad, but rather bland by New Wave standards

I bought one of his records decades ago because it had intriguing neo-fascist imagery. It was weird, corporate sounding rock with sardonic, parodic lyrics.
