i'm pretty sure dan's pronunciation of "monmouth" was correct, jeezy.

fun historical fact: the name is actually a french-english hybrid; it was coined when a settler, fresh off the boat from gay paree, got into a bit of a dustup at a local drinking establishment which ended in his taking a fist to the face. he staggered away spitting teeth and shouting "ZUT ALORS! MON MOUTH! MON MOUTH!"

the name stuck.

My favorite store sign in all of NYC is on Church Street just south of Chambers Street. It is in badly-kerned Comic Sans, one of the worst fonts. It reads, in a totally deadpan manner, "We Are Nuts About Nuts" -- not even an exclamation point. The kicker is that the store actually sells nuts. That place kills me every time I walk by.
