By the way, Archie: I owe you much belated thanks: Sometime around 1983, a friend gave me a huge batch of Eurock lecture tapes. I was already into the music but it was my first exposure to many of the greats ... so, some 28 years later and the record collection is still being affected...

I specifically remember hearing the entirety of Restless Skylight Transistor Child (from ADII's "Dance of the Lemmings"), for the first time, from those tapes. Sitting slack-jawed on my floor like a happy idiot. Great discoveries.

Contact me via the Eurock web site and I'll turn you on to an MP3 CD of the entire cassette series if you'd like...

Archie,
MIKHAIL CHEKALIN's music remind me the 2004' August time, visiting your home.
It's very beautiful and quiet town.
and guiding me the mountain.
During the stay in Portland,it's enjoyable and happy time.
  1:56pm

I remember that time fondly. It was a great visit and beautiful drive out to Multnomah Falls in the beautiful early Fall weather...
  2:00pm
Hiro:

Yes,Portland is very beautiful.
and it's wonderful in quiet around your home.
In Tokyo,it's very noisy and no wood, green.

I want to say a special thanks at this point to my good pal Tony Coulter for sharing his air time with me.

Also WFMU for keeping alive the great free spirit of radio in today's era of corporate media empire.

It reminds me of 1971 when I first did FM radio down in Calif. Thanks or having me contribute!

The year I graduated from college... and got my first air post shipment of OHR "Krautrock" LPs from a new store in Noting Hill Gate, London, Virgin Records - the beginning of Richard Branson's empire...

Hiro:

About the title of CD,Requiem,
At that time, releasing CD,this meaning was just recollection about my past mucical work.
But after big earthquarke on March 11th,this title has much more important and worth for me.
I and my family was not effected by that earthquarke and tsunami.
but many Japanese had died or lost about 20 thousands people by that disaster.
By meltwown, second accident of Fukushima atomic power plant,
We now know that meat and rice are polluted by nuclear.
Plobably it's the same as fish and seafood.
and even in Tokyo, air is still be nuclear pollution as not high value, but not low.
and we feel still earthquake at least one time in one week in Tokyo.
I don't know Japan has not power and resurgence or not.
But,I'd like to dedicate my work to lost souls by that disaster and the Japanese young genalation who will be actively in future for Japan.
Lastly,I also thanks to Archie for this CD relasing, becasue I can contact with other Heretic members after releasing this CD !

God Bless you,
Hiro Kawahara / Heretic in Tokyo
