With the creation of this "Bipartisan Deficit Reduction Committee" that must return their recommendations for cuts by December for a "no amendment, up or down vote": has anybody noticed that this body will become our version of a Soviet Politburo?

I'm listening to you at work...thankful to have a job. But all my money goes to paying off my own personal debt ceiling.

this is the wrong time for your show. everyone is stuck on a parkway or in a subway tunnel or on a train or walking to happy hour. move this show to 8:00 or 9:00 and the phones would light up! light up, i tell ya!

Math:

Speaking of credit cards, 15 trillion in debt in a country of 300 million people makes $45,000 in governmental "credit card" debt for every human being in the country. That means close to $150,000 per average-size household (three people). Since the average household has a $50,000 annual income that we already have to support ourselves on, how are we ever going to pay that $150,000 per household off?

1. Repudiation ( = we just refuse to pay it)
2. Revolution ( = the government that incurred the debt no longer exists after that)
3. Inflation as in QE 1/2/3/etc. ( = we create money without economic expansion to support it, making the debt smaller because the dollar will be worth so much less after that)

i've got a friend who lived off credit cards. couldn't pay and never answered the phone that always rang from credit card company and then debt collector. he finally figured out that once the debt was sold he had no obligation to anyone. now he's defaulting on two other cards. i don't talk to him much anymore.
