I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

  Fri. 7/22/11 12:22pm le screech:

let us in!! oh..
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:25pm fleep:

Tentative applause. Audience unsure.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:26pm hamburger / london:

holy.. doodoo
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:27pm Cecile:

I dunno. I never quite get him. Neither fish nor fowl to me.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:30pm bryce:

he's a big spazzo
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:32pm hubba:

Where are we going now?
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:33pm Cecile:

I guess it's more theatre sometimes than music.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:33pm andymorphic:

i saw him at the guelph jazz fest ...did a free show where he walked into the tent. put a high hat in the middle of a table, tie a string to it then walked to the stage and played the high hat by pulling on the string....better than most would with sticks.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:34pm Jim Strang:

I don't know--at least you can tell he's playing. Back in 2002 my college had Keith Rowe and Toshi Nakamura playing at our student union in September and people kept clapping by accident when the AC compressor came on in the auditorium because it was the loudest noise going on.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:34pm bryce:

hahaaa, that's amazing
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:35pm bryce:

if people are doing it, it's music
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:35pm bryce:

even if they're not doing it
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:36pm big spazzo:

IT'S MUSIC.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:36pm kimm:

or while they're doing it.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:36pm Cecile:

I think I wasn't in the mood, and he was being extra cutesy that night. Maybe on another day
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:37pm hubba:

so, music is "doing"? what about "being?" Or, is "doing"-"being?"
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:38pm big spazzo:

it's okay.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:39pm hubba:

listening is doing; being is doing; it must be human if it is music, something is being done.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:39pm andymorphic:

he values performance. most artist don't these days.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:40pm coelacanth:

...maybe being is doing.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:40pm kim:

why must it be human?
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:41pm Ike:

Love love love this Kubisch and Plessi.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:41pm coelacanth:

oh,nevermind
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:43pm coelacanth:

no, it musn't be human.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:45pm hubba:

Everything is human, or it is nothing. So, nothing is human?
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:45pm annie:

ok,ok... fine a little late, but i'm here.... hi bryce, et all les autres!
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:47pm coelacanth:

("mustn't"?) oh,hi.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:47pm bryce:

annie!
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:47pm annie:

i do still love you bryce, have no worries..
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:47pm Cecile:

hola, annie!
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:48pm Cecile:

what are today's specials?
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:49pm annie:

ahh.. calimari, clam chowder to die for, roasted salmon with jasmine rice and broccoli, to name a few.. avoid the burger.
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:50pm giraffe:

pretty pretty
  Fri. 7/22/11 12:52pm Ike:

Hey, forgot to ask y'all until now -- saw a cool strange performance by a skinny blonde as part of Outback Nexus on Governors Island a few weeks ago but didn't catch her name -- any ideas folks? Blurry cellphone pic:

  Fri. 7/22/11 12:52pm kim:

  Fri. 7/22/11 1:00pm coelacanth:

hamden...heard if it. i think it's far, for lunch...Do you run a b&b or something?
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:01pm Ike:

@Screech: Some kind of homemade sound devices, not sure... shaped like turntables. Wish there was a video somewhere. My brain failed in the heat and I didn't catch any info (and it wasn't even as close to as hot as it is today).
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:04pm Carmichael:

I wish that person would be finished shoveling snow soon.
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:06pm annie:

i work at this inn..and at the lucky dog.. hamden inn..they just called me, i have to go spell cindy at the counter so she can make the bread.. bummer.. brryyccee!!! ahhhh.. oh well...
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:07pm Carmichael:

Great, now Amtrak's comin' through ...
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:08pm coelacanth:

Thank You! I'm actually going to keep that snow shoveling image in mind if i decide to work outside this afternoon! (it must be close to 100 F here)
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:09pm bryce:

  Fri. 7/22/11 1:16pm le screech:

  Fri. 7/22/11 1:17pm bryce:

  Fri. 7/22/11 1:18pm tahomajohn:

I see a polar bear hiding from a giant penguin in a snow bank .
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:19pm Carmichael:

I understand that all of you East of, say, the Rockies have achieved an abundance of warmth. I hope you can survive it until cooler weather comes along. Really Bryce, "Radiatore"?
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:19pm tahomajohn:

here's a little bit of phenom you probably won't be too thrilled by, but what the heck, i was... shall i spill it?
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:20pm WTF:

Norway!
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:21pm tahomajohn:

It almost hit 70 degrees F in Tacoma yesterday.. omg it was ... awful. I mean, awfully nice.
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:24pm tahomajohn:

But that's not the phenom i was alluding to... what that was: I saw an actual Relic of WFMU's sacred past here in Tacoma last night...
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:24pm coelacanth:

  Fri. 7/22/11 1:26pm Cecile:

  Fri. 7/22/11 1:29pm tahomajohn:

  Fri. 7/22/11 1:30pm tahomajohn:

Last night I went into a local coffee shop (Amocat Cafe) here in Tacoma Wa for an open studio draw-fest sponsored by The Cartoonist's League of Absurd Washingtonians ...
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:31pm tahomajohn:

and the models being drawn were the local roller-derby warrior/goddesses (Dockyard Derby Dames) -- awesome fun even though my drawing skills suck
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:32pm tahomajohn:

and hanging on the wall at the Amocat Cafe was a framed Daniel Johnston/Yp La Tengo– Speeding Motorcycle vinyl 45 Recorded live at WFMU-FM! Here in Tacoma.. woohoo!
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:33pm Handsome Harry:

This Ellen Band floats great over some Melvins, specifically "Blood Witch."

  Fri. 7/22/11 1:39pm still b/p:

In the lower part of the melted material pic, left of center, I think I see the ear of Jesus, with a big lobe a'hangin' down.
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:41pm Carmichael:

Yikes. Grab another transmitter off the shelf and hook 'er on up.
  Fri. 7/22/11 1:46pm stinkbug:

  Fri. 7/22/11 1:50pm still b/p:

  Fri. 7/22/11 1:52pm coelacanth:

  Fri. 7/22/11 2:09pm still b/p:

Tanzanians started out accompanying Dean Martin singing On An Evening in Roma, and now they're jamming with Art Tatum on Begin the Beguine. It's pretty good.
  Fri. 7/22/11 2:10pm Ike:

  Fri. 7/22/11 2:37pm tahomajohn:

  Fri. 7/22/11 2:38pm bruceleh:

Bryce, the nerds in the office want to know what's happening in the melt2 picture, and please, feel free to get as technical as possible, we can take it.
  Fri. 7/22/11 2:39pm bruceleh:

And what is melting in melt1? Too thick for paint. Some sort of insulation?
  Fri. 7/22/11 2:42pm bruceleh:

My guess is that it's some sort of harmonic distortion causing inverse reactive current overheating in the reciprocating dingle arm.
  Fri. 7/22/11 2:43pm Van:

Another Dallas listener dropping in for a while. Pretty weird that NY is hotter than Dallas today.
  Fri. 7/22/11 2:44pm muhrvis:
