I did a little digging at the Durettes tune, trying to figure out the guitar player, who has a certain style. Best I could do was this discussion of the tune as a 45, (raresoulforum/Durettes - Sweet Sweet Love/ same backing, different vocal?) and this discussion of SVR and The Unrelated Segments, (raresoulforum/SVR Label group info) The guitar player has a simple, roots oriented comping style like some people on gospel soul records, or something. | |
