Dan B From Upstate:
A gal at work on a near nightly basis would drive to the next city over, about a 90 minute drive, go to a hotel bar, and get trashed. When the bar closed at 2, she'd invite others to a room, keep drinking, eventually crash, and then hit the road a 5 AM to make it by 7 AM for work the next day.
She was consistently good at her job, and earned several promotions. Despite that, I'd call her an alcoholic.
