You see a blanket on the ground. It's your favorite color, smooth and soft. You can sit on it, or lie on it. It's a flying blanket, and you are the pilot. You are in control. You can fly anywhere you wish, just by thinking about it. You are the pilot.

my son just asked me to turn down the radiio. that is so sad.
  Mon. 6/6/11 10:08pm Taylor:

"I was stolen by the gypsies. My parents stole me back. Then the gypsies stole me again. This went on for some time" - Charles Simic
  Mon. 6/6/11 10:16pm Dan B:

@Taylor, I almost played that Simic poem. I like his voice.
  Mon. 6/6/11 10:17pm Julie:

yellow pollen in the grooves? Oh dear
  Mon. 6/6/11 10:19pm Dan B:

Yeah, I bought a ton of used records, some without jackets, and they all smell a bit mildewy and I had to put them out on the porch to air out. But of course, the air is completely full of thick yellow pollen these days. At least most of them will be able to just be wiped off. Maybe pollen eats mildew? #Wishfulthinking
  Mon. 6/6/11 10:19pm Taylor:

Speaking of poetry, Meryn Cadell is now a man and very happily living and teaching in Vancouver! I am delighted he's found himself. Now I just wish I could find "6 Blocks".
  Mon. 6/6/11 10:34pm damien:

that's why i like your show, Dan Bodah. You don't take your shit too seriously. or, maybe you do. i dunno.
  Mon. 6/6/11 10:35pm Dan B:

I dunno either Damien
  Mon. 6/6/11 10:35pm damien:

  Mon. 6/6/11 10:39pm Dan B:

  Mon. 6/6/11 10:42pm osvi:

  Mon. 6/6/11 10:43pm Marmalade Kitty:

woken to the sound of Ray Manzareks screaming Vox Organ!! (The Doors not to touch the Earth)
What does this mean? Sleep paralysis with hypnopompic imagery.. just a product of REM functions outlasting your sleep a bit -- nothing to worry about.. !! It felt like I was having a stroke!
  Mon. 6/6/11 10:49pm Dan B:

@MK, weird. I hope Airborne Event bears some responsibility for this.
  Mon. 6/6/11 10:56pm Father Leprosy:

just turn on the water faucet. a world of pharmaceuticals at your fingertips! we're so drugged out, we don't even need to take drugs anymore. i'm off to the woods now, to inflict some wounds on my person.
Mon. 6/6/11 10:59pm Richard from Venezuela:

Just done.

Kré - El radio esta en la cocina (the radio is in the kitchen): http://bit.ly/mLCISM
  Mon. 6/6/11 11:01pm Marmalade Kitty:

I love the intensity of dreams, but I don't like the stroke paralysis thing. I think It's worse when you try to force yourself to wake up, but you can't due to the paralysis.. O.o FREDDIE!!
Mon. 6/6/11 11:03pm Richard from Venezuela:

  Mon. 6/6/11 11:39pm Marmalade Kitty:

They play "classical" music at selected metro railway stations in Newcastle upon Tyne UK, which apparently acts to deter youth loitering..
  Mon. 6/6/11 11:43pm Marmalade Kitty:

what about that?
  Mon. 6/6/11 11:52pm tim:

Sunnyside checking in. Great show. I hear they also get dna samples off of loitering youths in the UK.
  Mon. 6/6/11 11:52pm Marmalade Kitty:

This Roger Powell is really sweet.
  Mon. 6/6/11 11:59pm Dan B:

I personally get DNA samples from all the WFMU DJs -- I'm working on a sort of Frankenstein/Ubermensch DJ-of-the-Future. (It's a dystopian future, but at least the music's GREAT!)
  Mon. 6/6/11 11:59pm Dan B:

@A, it is strangely compelling, that Roger Powell, isn't it?
  Tue. 6/7/11 12:00am Dan B:
