It's worth mentioning The Sorrows were apparently with Piccadilly Records, a division of PYE Records! Pye produced such a slick mid-60s British rock sound.

And guess what? Joe Raposo again! Probably his best known composition.

Is this orchestral arrangement typical of Blue Nile, or not?

The sound kind of reminds me of a Church song "Youth Worshipper"--it has an 80s alternative feel consistent with the rest of the band's work, but with powerful orchestral overdubs giving it a haunting quality.
