You might want to take a listen to Zedashe as well -- they use the traditional tunings that can sound dissonant to Western ears (zedashe.org).

@Meli, there's always the archive -- it'll be up with clickable timelinks by 1 AM or so. Or come over -- I've got like 15 versions of it on record and CD at our place, we can listen to them all together. I can't get enough of it either!

Too bad there isn't a Radio Batman out there to wreak vigilante havoc on the worst pirates. But then I guess a pirate Joker would appear too, to balance it out karmically, and jam EVERY station. So, never mind.
