Listener comments!

  7:13pm
Hugh:

Evenin' Betsy, Wow, it will be a treat to hear two dulcet toned, women at once, speaking with that delightful Tennesee accent! I'll be there!
  7:14pm
glenn:

hiya betsy. i gotta ask - do ya think people realized just how twisted porter wagoner was? i mean, he was a pretty big deal back in the day.
  7:15pm
Betsy:

Hey Hugh & Glenn! yeah Glenn, Porter was nuts, for sure! Luv him. ;)
  7:17pm
pierre:

Bonsoir Betsy !
01.17am in Paris, not tired, and enjoying your show.
  7:19pm
Betsy:

Bonsoir Pierre! Bienvenue.
  7:22pm
pierre:

Thanks, we like some Wanda Jackson over here to, by the way isn't she doing some things with Jack White lately, or something ?
  7:25pm
Betsy:

Ha, she is indeed Pierre. In fact, she's playing here in NY in half an hour! With Jack White, yes.
  7:25pm
pierre:

oups yeah sorry, he produced her last album...
  7:25pm
seang:

Great singers from Oklahoma: Buck, Wanda, Woody
  7:25pm
glenn:

wanda's album with jack is called the party ain't over. it's been out for a month.
  7:26pm
rusty beltway:

The Willy track...I thought that was Willy, but I never heard the track. Saw Willy in Lowell, Mass. once. He played for like 3-1/2 hours. It was like seeing Hot Tuna or the Dead. But it was Willy.

(dammit...these are some good songs by price, wanda, and buck...)

Hey Betz, March 5 is the anniversary of Cline, Copas and Hawkins. Just saying....
  7:27pm
Betsy:

Hey Rusty! I had a chance to see Willie in concert a few years ago and passed it up. Duh! Wish I'd gone.
  7:29pm
Juan Rapido:

I saw Willie at the Fillmore in SF (where I live) about 4 years ago and he put on an amazing and energetic show.
  7:31pm
pierre:

@ glenn : thank you Glenn haven't heard about it since lately. (obviously)
  7:33pm
glenn:

(whispering) i kinda love crazy amy winehouse.
  7:34pm
rusty beltway:

Did I spell Willie wrong?
And Willie does shorter intermissions than Tuna/Dead. You can't even go out to the parking lot to score...a t-shirt. Or something.
I just heard Waylon doing Nashville Bum for the first time a few weeks ago.
Rusty Dean: Betsy, I like the way you say Rusty. :-)
  7:35pm
glenn:

there's a three disc waylon tribute thingy coming out very soon.
  7:36pm
rusty beltway:

the best ever...paycheck
  7:37pm
glenn:

why is it that my cat ignores me unless she wants food or i'm at the computer?
  7:38pm
rusty beltway:

I had a cat named Vince. He was awesome. He brought me snakes and headless birds.
  7:42pm
glenn:

vince is a good name for a cat. i have two - malice and aforethought (usually called fore).
  7:45pm
rusty beltway:

Nice. My mom told me that cats respond to sibilance (the sssss sound). You know, the sound you make when you call them. So she said always give them a name w/ an "s" sound.
  7:47pm
pierre:

so the name "Super Cat" still works, cool.
  7:47pm
Betsy:

What are you crazy cats talkin' 'bout?? ;)
  7:48pm
Willie:

@rusty: Hey, I gotta get some shuteye at a decent hour, dude. And union overtime also kicks in if we drag things out. About the pricing on the tees: I may be Willie, but I ain't free Willie.
  7:48pm
glenn:

i guess that explains why my old cat dickhead never came when i called him.
  7:49pm
rusty beltway:

Yeah. That pss-wss-wss thing we all do to call cats. It's true I tells ya.

"Betsy" would work, but that would be wrong for obvious reasons.
  7:51pm
rusty beltway:

@Willie
I dunno. Got some good Budz.
My cat, Budz.
(cough)
  7:52pm
Willie:

@rusty: Yeah, you seen the price on "budz" lately? Sheesh!
  7:53pm
rusty beltway:

@Willie
I just wish we could all go to the West End Cafe down the block right now and take over the jukebox.
  7:54pm
Willie:

This show works fine, though!
  7:55pm
rusty beltway:

But it's over!!!!
:-(
What now?
  7:57pm
Willie:

Gospel is cool. There's more than one genre worth listening to!
  7:58pm
Betsy:

hey y'all, thanks for listening! Gonna tack one more on the end here...see you NEXT WEEK!! (hint hint)
  7:59pm
rusty beltway:

@Willie
Imposter! You ain't Willie!
  7:59pm
pierre:

à la prochaine ! ; )
  8:00pm
Betsy:

A bientot, Pierre!
  8:00pm
Willie:

ya think? who didn't know that? :-P it's called comedy/fun
