Hi all -- @Kat, I just discovered that Samm Bennett tape tonight and wow! I need to find out more about that guy. For the poll...I post-date the 60s, barely, and remember listening repeatedly to Van Halen's 1984 on my early-model Walkman...

@all, wow, Cali is totally in the house tonight! Plus you guys are making me feel not that old... @Lavater, I agree -- it's such a different thing to do this kind of off-kilter programming and be able to find the folks out there on the internet who like it -- it felt much less connected to broadcast a program like this just over the radio -- but then, those connections had a special quality because it was so rare to make them.

Levene released the tapes under the recording name - Commercial Zone in '83. Pil re-recorded the album releasing it as This is what you want..'84
