  3:05am
jj.:

  3:07am
Great Communicator:

I just turned 100 years old! America, fuck yeah!
  3:09am
maja:

Yo! I'll be there! Hi Jason.
  3:20am
L'Humanite:

Merci, frere Jesse!
  3:21am
raise plow-:

Hey guys, I am two tonight, here wtih my friend, M. We are both holding Reagan masks on sticks, for your viewing pleasure. M. digs the Spanish Stones sSound.
  3:21am
Internazionale:

No...no...grazie, Jesse...
  3:23am
Bronze Thimbles and Aluminum Bottlecaps:

Pat Nixon tramp stamps could--only hypothetical, mind you, but possible--could very well turn out to be the next big thing...
  3:27am
Singer in Heat:

Nancy Davis, pre-Reagan, purportedly gave the best head in Hollywood as a young B-movie actress.
  3:30am
Tricky Diction:

What about the silent majority? Only Jesse can tell us...and Checkers
  3:35am
streamers in the gutter:

wanda jackson was interviewed today on WKCR but i don't kno if it's archived.
  3:59am
coelacanth:

Jesse Thanks for the news.i forget reagan's b'day(even though it's just days after mine, and amongst several of my childhood heroes')..ironic,i suppose, that earlier tonight i finished reworking to digital format a music/sound collage tape i'd made in 1982- laden with reagan references & sound bits. 'been working on it for a week- unaware of this event. so-happy birthday Ronnie. You sucked and your legacy will adversely affect all life on earth FOREVER. thanks.
  4:06am
jj.:

whoa, right on coelacanth! where can we hear this jam? and happy belated birthday!
  4:33am
antiquities football:

oh i used to have a roommate yrs ago who would wake everyone up in the summertime singing this song :-) he had a horrible voice..
  4:44am
coelacanth:

okay Jesse. My new toy put 2 seconds between each "movement".i just sent an email to tascam co. to see if i can create a cd w no gaps between. i might do it over...but.......it's not all that great! i used to make these things for my friends & i to trip out with!..This one was specifically a birthday present for an exgirlfriend, who wanted headphone entertainment. without phones it may be hard to make out the content of the voices, losing it's (sometimes subtle)significance....and,it's 77 min.- mostly NOT about reagan.(there is nixon in there!...also some WFMU personality represented,as well as WPLJ!) ...that said- i'd gladly send you one if you want it after that disclaimer, after i hear from tascam.
  4:50am
Gipper from Beyond the Grave:

Coelacanth...what's the matter: did you like Brezhnev more back in '82? A stronger Soviet Union inspired more respect in some..when it wasn't doing things like crushing dissident artists who did things like sound collages. Whatever, the Stalinist empire went away, and you can say thank you card in secret whenever you can admit to yourself that it was worth opposing.
  4:51am
Brezhnev:

Who the fuck just dissed me?
  4:54am
coelacanth:

i used to have a t-shirt,when reagan tried to substitute vegetables with ketchup in the school lunch program:"nutrition quiz.which one's the vegetable?" picturing a)ketchup & b) r reagan...i kept wearing it after he was diagnosed with alzheimer's -yes-in poor taste.but he deserved it.
  4:54am
greysoul:

Jeepers ... what's so funny 'bout peace, love, and understanding, everybody?
  4:55am
Ray-gun Effigy:

Burn me!
  4:55am
jj.:

um, meester gipper, sir: forgive for taking the heinz-packet bait, but why/how does opposition to your royal vegetableness equate to support for stalinism?
  4:56am
coelacanth:

i also had a t depicting reagan and brezhnev in diapers, playing with bombs.
  4:57am
museum dividing-line:

the music here is quite muffled & my friend while falling asleep thought this was the sound of garbage truck picking up outside.. with its recyclables mix & the like.. She grew up under the Soviet Union's breadth so it's too bad it's just now become too late..
  5:01am
Obama-esque or Clintonoid Tribute:

Not such an equation, but a round of ball-breaking in response to the notion that the most substantial American leader since Franklin Roosevelt "sucked and [his] legacy will adversely affect all life on earth FOREVER." Even Gorbachev knows that's bullshit. "Playing ketchup" came later. In 1982, there were more obvious villains for sound collagists everywhere to fear and loathe than a term-limited official subject to voters...but hey, it's just a thought
  5:02am
Holy Shirt:

I wonder if the t-shirt was homemade or mass produced, eh?
  5:04am
Why Canada We All Just Get Along?:

Up north, we could have actually served as a literal AND figurative bridge across the arctic in a US/Russia merger. Still time, eh?
  5:06am
greysoul:

Dang - I scorched my gruel.
  5:14am
pro, anti, present-tense:

G!, I think I saw you cast in clay with dove & olive branch in hand, at the egyptian wing of the museum today. I left a bowl of gruel outside that, what is it called.. 'false door' where the buried enters back into the real world, to receive gifts & the like
  5:14am
Unholy Shirt:

Coelecanth, how about a shirt with images Lincoln's assassination and Kennedy's, with the caption "spirit of the '60s"? Headwounds and irony...all the cool kids are doing it...
  5:15am
Grueling:

I'm scorched! Dang!
  5:18am
greysoul:

Sweet! That was you? Nice ...

Many thanks from all the buried unDead.

This stuff's not bad if you slather it with ketchup.
  5:19am
Nesta Marley:

Tastes better if you're...
  5:20am
jj.:

...if you ARE the ketchup? *BE* the condiment, bobby...
  5:20am
greysoul:

SAVE by Mr. DJ - off the skate just as it almost got ugly.
  5:22am
coelacanth:

Thank you Jesse. Great show. i'm off to sleep. ...ps. One thing i was wrong about though is reagan's acting ability. He was at least good enough to fool large herds of uneducated sheep. 'night.
  5:24am
papyrus scroll:

G, ya: I didn't kno the ketchup anecdote from the other week was actually a fact. i was at denny's tonight & squirted it on the table, it was like Reagan's FDA mistake, transposed into theater blood, in foolish memory
  5:25am
Iron Lady:

Ronald Reagan won the Cold War without firing a shot.....[well, not directly at the USSR, anyway]...what have any of us done that compares? Even his regal Obamitude, the new messiah, ain't there yet...
  5:28am
greysoul:

Personally, I find late-night Denny's to be the source of some of the finest performance art going.
  5:29am
Coele-campy:

Too bad people have to vote on this shit, and don't just take orders from their self-selected betters...
  5:30am
Adam:

I remember going to Denny's late at night back in college. We must have been desperate then...
  5:32am
Andropov:

Reagan, Thatcher, Gorbachev, Brezhnev...what about me? I'm lonely...
  5:32am
flowering reed:

Eating a hamburger at midnight is ya, kindof performance art in itself. my blood sugar level was lower than we are going to feel come Tuesday, in the SuperCold. Ya desperateness ensuesss
  5:33am
Chernenko:

Or me? One of the two most powerful men in the world? Chopped fucking liver, over here?
  5:40am
Adam:

Delectably droning....
  5:43am
Winter Freeze:

The cold, the snow, the winter, the freeze, so irrational....
  5:48am
Dy-no-mite:

Is dangerous
  5:54am
Nuclear Freeze:

Is this artist British? Or do my ears deceive me? Just curious. Thank you.
  5:55am
jj.:

Kiwi!
  5:56am
Housed Crowd:

NZ? The Bats? Gary Lewis? Is Lewis from Liverpool?
  5:58am
Lonesome Cowboy Ron:

You're welcome, America and free world! Keep on truckin'!
  6:00am
Adam:

T Nuggs, those old garage and pyschedelic songs of all sorts and origins--so good--so, so, so good
  6:00am
Adam:

  6:01am
