The program formerly known as Dinner at Andy's, The Fuzzy Glove Hour, Whores, and The Happiness Hut. Ken and Andy, also known as The Enema Boys, further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards on a weekly basis. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw. (Visit homepage.)

Listener:

Very credible excuse!
  6:02pm
Cursing:

Andy was practicing for his future Sirius show.
  6:02pm

The Arab Street:

  6:03pm
PMD:

Pretty soon you can't say you do a radio show.
  6:03pm
the F word:

come on. just air me.
the kids LOVE me.
you are so F-ist.
  6:04pm
Matt from Springfield:

If you're going to take 15 hours to edit it, add some sound effect, like a "BOIIING!" instead of bleeping or deleting.
  6:07pm
Matt from Springfield:

Hey Brian! Nice to hear you on a Wed night!
"Could you please talk for 53 minutes or so, Brian?"
  6:11pm
Slush Pile:

We have driven many a great man to self-injury.
  6:11pm
Matt from Springfield:

There's your show idea guys! Have Andy listen to OTHER WFMU shows while commenting on his emotions in real time. Solid gold!
  6:14pm
hamburger:

a show tuning into the seventh consecutive hour of andy listening to 'strength through failure'
  6:14pm
Matt from Springfield:

Nice! You already seem to be doing that--carry on!
  6:14pm
Listener:

Andy had tourettes last week, hence the cursebombs
  6:14pm
bw:

I LIKE THIS ONE
  6:14pm
Matt from Springfield:

@hamburger: Yes, I still want to listen to that as well!
  6:15pm
Listener:

Andy would turn "Strength through Failure" into "Escape Via Terminal Loss of the Will to Live"
  6:17pm
pfapfap:

  6:17pm
Listener:

Play a little of Don Maclean's most recent release for Andy without telling him what it is. Then do the reveal.
  6:18pm
Danne D:

s'up hamburger?
Hi peoples.
  6:19pm
Danne D:

Various Artist has an actor cousin names Manny Moore
  6:19pm

Underworld is still around?
  6:21pm
Danne D:

Gee this show going to the bottom of the barrel? Who knew?
  6:21pm
hamburger:

sup Danne D. watchin Match of the Day. Has anyone heard Andy's folk era output?
  6:23pm
Danne D:

Andy was his generation's Phil Ochs, I heard.

Did you see that Qatar is up to #90 in the FIFA rankings? go figure...
  6:24pm
Danne D:

Best part of the show: Brian trying to guess what the genre/style of the music is based on the album art.
  6:24pm
Laurie:

I like it!
  6:25pm
Matt from Springfield:

@hamburger: Search the Archives for "Railroad Bill" -- Irwin's played it before. It's more "acoustic comedy", anti-folk conceptual comedy than "folksinger". I don't know much about his other stuff but Railroad Bill is great.
  6:25pm

Hi Laurie - I think it was pretty good too. (the last song)
  6:26pm
Laurie:

you guys haven't played sebastién tellier? he is amazing
  6:26pm
Matt from Springfield:

Brian Turner's "Trash Can O' Crap" -- with all the unlabeled records and CDs he plays, that's a good term for the bin he pulls the stuff out of!
  6:27pm
Danne D:

From that Andy CD on Amazon:

Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought:
Live At The Troubadour (CD +DVD) [Live] - Carole King and James Taylor
  6:27pm
Laurie:

sébastien tellier is a major french singer and should have won eurovision from that one year
  6:27pm
hamburger:

@Matt: Hah! I was kinda thinking Andy had a "serious" period with the folk, but comedy-folk.. what was I thinking
  6:27pm
Danne D:

This sounds like General Hospital background music.
  6:27pm
Listener:

New Bin, aka Turner's Dumpster
  6:28pm
Laurie:

sébastien is already a star by the way. and this album was originally offered exclusively via american apparel in the united states.
  6:28pm
Matt from Springfield:

+33: France.
  6:29pm
Laurie:

the brunettes are great poppy fun! it gets my vote i love them
  6:29pm
kat330:

  6:30pm

  6:33pm
Danne D:

  6:33pm
Listener:

QED
  6:33pm
Laurie:

seriously judging you guys for not knowing sébastien tellier, who is amazing
  6:34pm
Danne D:

8( I'm sorry Laurie

So I'm looking around for an actual review of an Andy Breckman album. Haven't found a good one yet, but I found this. (Worth it for the picture)

http://www.allmusic.com/artist/andy-breckman-p1929
  6:36pm
hamburger:

gosh he looks serious
  6:36pm
Laura:

Oh, WOW. That picture is incredible.
  6:38pm
Danne D:

On the target website of all places here's a review of Andy's song "Railroad Bill":

Comic relief's not always a good thing, though, as demonstrated by the bombastic crude wit of Andy Breckman's "Railroad Bill."

  6:40pm
dj cracker whore:

i hate fuckin' honkies
  6:42pm
marq:

how can you decide on something just by listening to a few seconds of it.
  6:42pm
Laurie:

I'm aware of tristeza as well.
  6:43pm
hamburger:

@marq: by being highly impatient and subjective :)
  6:43pm
bw:

tristeza?

I have played them many times
  6:43pm
bw:

don't throw that away!
  6:44pm
they're already extremely famous!:

That's a real band!
  6:44pm
hugh:

Tristeza's been around.
  6:44pm
Listener:

by listening to a few seconds of it, marq. program directors do it CONSTANTLY. a CD is most often one genre, and that genre and how it's executed by the artist are apparent in every single fifteen second bite of music on the CD.
  6:45pm
bw:

I <3 them
  6:45pm
northguineahills:

what hugh said.... and Darla Recs have been around for almost 2 decades....
  6:46pm
bw:

heeeeeee I think they are punking Andy
  6:46pm
Danne D:

Best phone message ever!
  6:46pm
Lizardner Dave:

I thought Andy vowed no more prank calls.
  6:47pm
B Z:

"Reissue all the Poco albms"!!
Brian kills!
  6:48pm
Danne D:

It wasn't a prank, though. He was gonna make 'em stars :)

  6:48pm
john:

I'm pretty sure I saw Tristeza 10 years ago. I'm pretty sure I was bored.
  6:48pm
Danne D:

They are spending way too much time listening to music - they should totally just scan the cds for phone numbers. That would make awesome radio!
  6:49pm
hugh:

Tristeza would never sell out, anyway…
  6:49pm
Tony Shaloub:

My people answered the phone. I could catch germs from the receiver.
  6:50pm
PMD:

Hey hugh.
  6:50pm
hamburger:

this is awesome!
  6:50pm
fatty jubbo:

oh my. that was great. what was the name?
  6:51pm
Danne D:

Is Andy starring in the remake of Oz?
  6:51pm
Z:

HBO Documentary Screening Of "When Strangers Click"
  6:51pm
hugh:

Hey Pamela.
  6:52pm
Danne D:

  6:53pm
Danne D:

LOL!!!
  6:53pm
Bryant:

Hey, there's pictures!

http://bit.ly/eKdyDp
  6:53pm
marq:

@ listener: but i am talking about good quality stuff. not what big producers think is good. or general public think is good.
  6:54pm
fatty jubbo:

trash pile!

Laura:

http://www.hbo.com/documentaries/when-strangers-click/index.html
  6:54pm
Danne D:

Andy looks a little different than his allmusic.com picture
  6:55pm
Listener:

@mparp -- PDs and DJs have no more hours in their week than the rest of us: 168 only, for everything. They have to use their time well. They don't listen to 60-70 minutes of music to decide if an artist might work for them.
  6:55pm
Listener:

@parq, sorry
  6:56pm
pfapfap:

Life's unfair. A lot of it is getting lucky in the right spot, or knowing someone who can give you a chance.
  6:56pm
marq:

@listener: if it sounds good it is good
  6:58pm
Laurie:

i once shared a cab with ryan schreiber in chicago. it was pouring rain, 2 am after the club closed and we'd just seen king khan and the shrines and jay reatard play a show. fuuuuuun.
  6:58pm
Danne D:

I agree pfapfap. My friend's band should be zillionaires by now but aren't :(
  6:58pm
Danne D:

(though they have been played on FMU) :)
  6:59pm
Listener:

Exactly, marq, and an experienced ear can tell if it sounds good (from the listener's angle/taste) in a pretty short time.
  6:59pm
Danne D:

I've come to the conclusion that Laurie probably has the most interesting life off the comments board...

later all!
  6:59pm
marq:

@ listener: no
  6:59pm
Listener:

let's end it here
  6:59pm
Danne D:

Dang! I knew I forgot something...the pool!
  7:00pm
Listener:

very persuasive, marq!
  7:00pm
PMD:

12 people! darn, I lost 11 dollars
  7:32am
cheerios:

Here's my fav pic of Tellier, with the not-so-unfamous producer of the "Sexuality" album. http://whatspikelikes.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/sebastian-tellier.jpg
