Listener comments!

Fri. 1/14/11 6:17am Andy in NS:

Good Morning Jason!

What was that opening lead-in music... I've heard it before? It was tickling my early morning caffeinated mind-clutter in the most pleasing way... thanks.
  Fri. 1/14/11 6:28am Marmalade Kitty:

Morning, The set was interesting. I thought I could hear Miles Davis between shows..?
  Fri. 1/14/11 6:31am Sigurdur:

Good morning. nice ear teasing tunes
  Fri. 1/14/11 6:31am Djelbogen:

Yes, Marmalade Kitty, it might have been a track I have on my disc of 'bed' music by Miles Davis from Ascenseur Pour L'Echafaud...
  Fri. 1/14/11 6:32am procedura:

hey there. nothing much to say, though. keep on formlessin'.
Fri. 1/14/11 6:44am Andy in NS:

That's Nova Scotia, Canada, Jason... Atlantic Time Zone.

Didn't sound Miles-ish to me, but I'm no expert.
Fri. 1/14/11 7:08am Andy in NS:

You are in the Eastern Time Zone... you are one hour earlier...

I confess: I'd like to call myself a native Canadian, but alas, I am from Glen Ridge, NJ, class of 1982... you wouldn't believe how few SUV's there are here. I say this having just spent 2 weeks in NJ after an absence of nearly 2 years. Gas is C$1.17 per liter, which translates to US$4.50 per gallon.

Fun Fact: In 2008, 19% of all imported crude oil came from Canada (1st place) followed by Saudi Arabia at 10.5% (2nd place). Much of Canada's petroleum industry is in Alberta, where there is an ever evolving environmental catastrophe known as the Alberta Tar Sands.
  Fri. 1/14/11 7:11am ausmanx:

i'm starting to think andy's been sniffing some of that petroleum...
  Fri. 1/14/11 7:23am annie:

morning all
  Fri. 1/14/11 7:35am Marmalade Kitty:

What year was the Red Brass released?
Morning Annie :)
  Fri. 1/14/11 7:42am Marmalade Kitty:

Loving the show, Jason. Great mix up
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:09am Sam:

I love the rap!! Don't worry.
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:10am annie:

honestly?? i rather hear the rap than the christian stuff..
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:11am Sam:

Me too
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:14am Sam:

Do you have any christian rap?
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:15am mike:

Annie - you should tune in to Sinners Crossroads with Kevin Nutt on FMU - Thursdays. Amazing show - incredible music albeit of a spiritual variety...
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:16am mike:

That previous post also goes out to Sam - repent you sinners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:17am annie:

i LOVE sinners crossroads.. my recent schedule hasn't allowed for it to be in my listening choice, but i use the archive.
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:21am mike:

I also have trouble listening to that show live because I am based in the UK and like you I listen to it on the archive. Did you hear the last sinners crossroads of 2010? It some great re-issue stuff - ie Rev. Johnny Hurricane Jones. Apologies Jason for discussing another show on your listener comments page.
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:22am annie:

i listened religiously to WAMU gospel bluegrass on sunday ams
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:23am annie:

thanks for the suggestion mike, i'll get to that.
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:30am Cheri Pi:

My high school French is coming in handy here.
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:33am mike:

Cheers Annie - what's the Sunday gospel bluegrass show called?
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:34am DF:

In San Francisco in the late 70's (where this band was from) I definitely heard the term "politically correct." I wish there were more Noh Mercy recordings....
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:35am DF:

Maybe the Bay Area is where the term originated, come to think of it
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:37am annie:

wow, mike..... i have to pull that out of the data base of my brain.. they have pretty much destroyed almost all bluegrass programming on that station.. stinks, in my opinion..i'll find out..
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:38am Brian C.:

I first remember hearing the term "politically incorrect" when it was used to describe why someone got kicked out of the Gang of Four. (Dave maybe?) Didn't it originate with china to describe Chang Kai Shek (sp?)
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:39am annie:

yay, i found an article!
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:42am annie:

the comments following that article pretty much sum it up, mike
  Fri. 1/14/11 8:45am annie:

i love this song jason. there is an amazing blend of this and the "gift to be simple"
