The Push Bin is a collection of sounds recommended to keep your body twitching and your head throbbing. Beats, people yelling, noise, horror movie soundtracks, dub, rock, experimental, and hip-hop will all be mixed into one huge wonderful mess. All delivered in a highly caffeinated and friendly manner.

Dan B From Upstate:

Lou Z! Sorry to hear of the demise of Tale of the Twelve, but I'm ultra glad you're doing a fill in!
  9:06am
Lou Z:

Thanks Dan. Someday I might bring back TotT. You never know. Super psyched for the fill in. It's been a while!
  9:19am
annie:

good morning.. you're a new dj for me.. sweet!
  9:21am
Lou Z:

Welcome Annie....Glad to meet ya!
  9:22am
annie:

likewise.. have to walk the dog, but when i am done, i'll be sure to hug the radio
  9:24am
pup:

heeey. very nice set, thanks for the listen
  9:24am
Dan B From Upstate:

You really come in from the Cleveland area? That explains the gap in podcasts! It also shows your dedication to your craft if you're willing to drive all the way to Jersey City just to do a podcast or fill in.
  9:27am
northguineahills:

Haven't heard this skream yet......
  9:32am
Lou Z:

Thanks pup! as dedicated as I want to look Dan I am in NYC for other things (work). I always try to make time for WFMU though. Always!
  9:35am
Lou Z:

NGH - The new Skream is great in parts. There are a few clunkers though. He is stretching his legs a bit which is nice.
  9:37am
erella:

Hi Lou and annie, I am just tuning in ( from toronto) has someone mentioned what is up with trouble? Will she be back next week?
  9:38am
yuri:

Greetings Lou. First time listener to your show. Like!!! Great conceptually. Do you think that Hykes and the Harmonic Choir might be experimental and vocal and noisy enuf (with overtones) for this show??? Just a thought. Nice selection thus far -- stoked ...
  9:42am
yuri:

King Midas segue into Porcupine Tree -- pretty much anything from signify 2 -- forgive my intrusion into your programming man ... I'm a bit ADD
  9:42am
Cheri Pi:

If I lived anywhere near Jersey City I would be a permanent fixture, an 'FMU wife, if you will.
  9:42am
Lou Z:

Hi erella. Trouble is fine. she will be back next week!
  9:42am
northguineahills:

I keep on forgetting King Midas Sound is a Kevin Martin project, he has his hands in many pots.
  9:50am
Nik:

Streaming my iPhone to a set of speakers at work. Got tired of the local garbage. I'm in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Please help me stay conscious at my boring office job.
  9:51am
jack m.:

hey lou, great to hear you live in the studio. sounding good, more future bass!
  9:57am
dc pat:

bb gun.
  9:57am
dc pat:

oh.
  9:58am
...:

$1,000 per balloon, $1,500 per bb!
  10:02am
dc pat:

what if the bb gun isn't powerful enough? I think you should go with a .22. That would require some more accuracy though...unless you're not worried about Ken...
  10:03am
Lou Z:

I always worry about Ken.
  10:05am
yuri:

@dcPat -- Might as well get a Marine Corps force recon scout sniper in there with a Remington 700 -- no worries for Ken other than the loud gun sound ... *;)*
  10:11am
::::

I hear that certain local helium supplies are infested with bedbugs.
  10:12am
Cecile:

Lou, please to meet you.
Yuri - yes. This.
  10:13am
Cecile:

Ken, I will give you money if it will keep you from going up in the balloon chair.
  10:15am
yuri:

Nice. This...
  10:17am
northguineahills:

This Soundcarriers is sweet, not familiar w/ them....
  10:21am
Cecile:

ah, the Kompakt sound. Soothing oil on my raw sensibilities.
  10:21am
Lou Z:

NGH - they have been around for a bit. From the UK. I think this is their second full length.
  10:23am
dc pat:

"the Heads" is winning the best group name contest so far.
  10:30am
Cecile:

Angry Birds! Calling Angry Birds!
  10:34am
Cecile:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNNzRyd1xz0
  10:35am
listener mark:

very nice , thanks lots, my music picks have leaned towards fusion, jazz, and long instrumentals of late
  10:36am
dc pat:

the Byrds?? They couldn't pop a bubble...
  10:40am
Cecile:

Angry birds can smash concrete, yet delicate pop a balloon.
  10:42am
Lou Z:

I like the bird idea more and more. I'm gonna shop that idea to Ken.
  10:43am
listener mark:

My suggestion was to use hydrogen instead of helium. Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe, it is flammable and some people are having a problem with this.
  10:44am
Lou Z:

Well Mark...I can see that there would be some issues.
  10:44am
northguineahills:

The pH level in here just dropped!
  10:46am
listener mark:

Add some NaOH. Brings the pH level back up.
  10:49am
Steve:

I am so, so happy to wake up, turn on FMU, and hear this. The world needs more pre-noon rave ups.
  10:51am
dc pat:

I wouldn't trust birds unless they were ducks. And I don't see ducks at being good at popping balloons either...
  10:51am
dc pat:

the guy whom Tintin was based on died yesterday.
  10:52am
Cecile:

what about the proud and noble falcon?
  10:52am
Columbidae:

How about a last-minute switch from helium balloons to carrier pigeons? That would give Ken a good incentive to model the new FMU baseball cap
  10:56am
Wendy del Formaggio:

Hi Lou! I've been tuned in since 9:10am, but I'm just now online and so now I'm saying HI! Love tha' show.
  11:01am
Lou Z:

Hey Wendy! Also props to Jack Mello!!!!
  11:09am
dc pat:

I don't mind this Moon Phantoms at all. It's workin. But the Heads is still winning the name competition...
  11:11am
Lou Z:

so what does the winner get?
  11:11am
northguineahills:

The Moon Phantoms sound a lot like Bardo Pond.
  11:11am
Wendy del Formaggio:

Jack Mello is another fine fill-in DJ.
Lou, I guess you're in town this week, ja? Maybe I'll see you around good ol' JC! I'm also at the station Friday for my weekly volunteer gig.
  11:13am
dc pat:

Ooops, they blew it with the vox....

The winner doesn't get a punch.
  11:13am
Lou Z:

Good call NGH - It's a Bardo Pond side project teaming up with Suishou No Fune...
  11:17am
?:

fuck me this is great!!! available on cd or vinyl only?
  11:18am
northguineahills:

ahhh...! that explains it!
  11:19am
Cecile:

Suishou are great. They played Heliotrope in Mpls a few yeara back.
  11:21am
Lou Z:

I'm with you on that one Cecile...
  11:24am
dc pat:

whoa, this Bitters is kickin. And the Heads now have some competition...
  11:26am
frenchee:

LOU! Nice tunes so far (I just tuned in).
  11:29am
dc pat:

Love the Bitters, that was truly great.
  11:39am
seanf:

  11:39am
seang:

  11:44am
northguineahills:

  11:45am
