BSI:

Holy crap, Fabio, you're doing it again. First track and I'm crawling up beams of light with pupils out to HERE, man.....
  3:13pm
Ike:

Agreed.
  3:16pm
Looms:

Hello Fabio and all!
Sad day for the film industry with the death of Dino De Laurentiis. RIP
  3:26pm
Mike East:

Wow. That IS sad. I had no idea. Barbarella had a Huge impact on me when I first saw it...it was all I watched for several months, if I recall.
  3:34pm
Looms:

Yes, Barbarella was fun. The guy produced a few movies that i particularly dig: Dead Zone, Manhunter, Ragtime...
  3:37pm
NO:

scary stuff your are playing today, Fabio.
  3:37pm
Looms:

This Materia Prima sounded terrific.
  3:43pm
Looms:

Yes, that's correct Fabs.
  3:44pm
john:

hello Fabio - finally saw Enter the Void last night at IFC... holy moly
  3:48pm
gz:

schwangere polizei - pregnant police
  3:48pm
Paria:

  3:49pm
BSI:

Blinky Yao:

Hello

Blinky Yao:

great show neither dark nor light

HerecomdaJudge:

Ladies & Gentlemen, I'm going to have to declare this program a noble failure. Do not despair: we learn from our failures, and Sir Fabio, a true white knight of radio, is to be commended for venturing off into the farthest reaches of previously invisible, or should I say inaudible, soundscapes.
  4:32pm
Looms:

He produced something like 150 movies, i think.
  4:37pm
ScottC:

Bruce Conner took one of the most iconic punk photos from about '78. The shot is of the late Will Shatter of Flipper or maybe this was his other band Negative Trend. I would love to have a print of this. check it out:

Morton Hexadecimal:

Justin Time aka Justin Thyme aka Wayne Richard Clifford - see http://www.soil-speedofincominglight.com/
  5:33pm
George of Troy:

Very interesting to hear the original "Suicide Hotline" by Gray. Until now I'd only heard the version that was recreated for the "Basquiat" film and soundtrack.
  5:42pm
steve:

did fabio mention the nick zedd show going on at pendu gallery? figured some of you transgressive cinema-philes would wanna check it out... http://bit.ly/dtHZNN
  5:46pm
Listener John:

I'm neither a square or a philistine -- I mean, not really too much, but Steve: The term "transgressive cinema" makes me really nervous.
  5:51pm
steve:

oh john, i actually am not a fan of his films, but i thought maybe someone else here would be. while i don't like his films, his autobiographical book Totem of the Depraved was pretty entertaining, and fascinating as a historical record.
  5:54pm
Dr Science:

Phagocytes are the white blood cells that protect the body by ingesting (phagocytosing) harmful foreign particles, bacteria, and dead or dying cells.
  5:57pm
Ike:

The mnemonic device is that the "G" in "stalagmite" stands for "ground" and the "C" in "stalactite" stands for "ceiling." As for phagocytes, I just remember being highly amused by that word as a grade school kid.
  5:57pm
Robert:

It's easy to remember: "phago" (eating) + "cyte" (cell).
  5:57pm
Listener John:

Old Bob was born in May, 1941, so I guess he's still less than 70 -- for a few more months.
  6:00pm
Robert:

I can't remember any specific name for an organelle devoted to the phagocytic function. Endocytotic vacuole, I suppose.
  6:04pm
Robert:

Stink bombs don't need to be lit. Allowing compartmentalized ingredients to mix is all it takes.
  6:05pm
Robert:

I thought the topic was phagocytosis and stink bombs.
  6:14pm
david:

anglican is the same as episcopalian here, I think
