Speaking of great bass players, it would be remiss of my not to mention the passing of New Orleans beloved Walter Payton. A stalwart of the great musical tradition, he was a member of Preservation Hall Band, played on Aaron Neville's "Tell it Like It Is", a kick ass karate master and an all around sweetie. http://www.nola.com/music/index.ssf/2010/10/walter_payton_longtime_new_orl.html | |
