Non-commercial indie-pop-rock, but with plenty of WTF? non-sequitur delightful/irritating moments; 90% stuff we've never heard before (45% you'll hate, 45% you'll love), 10% stuff we've heard before (5% you hate, 5% you love). (29 words, 6 numbers.)

Hi Bob. As you're getting a bit heavier, would you have any Monotonix? I saw them live recently, and while their live show is truly stunning, it's not really a way to hear their songs. I know I can check out their MySpace, but radio is so much more fun...

Ever heard of Little Country Giants? They're a band from Athens that play really great alternative country. My favorite is Last Lonely Goodbye and I'd love to hear it on the air today sometime.

PHM:
I guess it depends on the neighborhood. When I lived on Harlem Avenue I would take huffy I had up three flights if stairs and park it in my tiny weekly room. If I was downtown sometimes I wouldn't worry about it at all but mostly I'd lock it up. I read somewhere that in Northern Europe somewhere biking is a dominant mode if transport abd there are like huge garages devoted to it. I think it was in Wired that I read about that. Anyway if you really rely on your bike and you're going to that area every day and the bike isn't a huffy, a dollar a day is pretty cheap insurance, I think anyway.
|
Mon. 9/13/10 11:53am
Cecile:
Minneapolis has bike lockers that are either free at some big bus stops or are very cheap. But $1/day to keep my mode of transport going ain't bad.
|
Mon. 9/13/10 12:00pm
Mike East:
I thought about getting a bike to lock up in the city so that when I get off the bus at the port authority I could ride to work...but I don't mind the 20min. walk enough to rationalize the expense.
