Morning Trouble and all. Great news: after 11 months unemployed I have been offered a job this morning so this will be the last chance I get to hear you live. This station, your show and Mr Drummer have kept me sane over what has been a difficult time for me... Good morning Trouble! I saw some posts this week that made me think of you. First off is my re-discovery of Pierre Henry and Michel Colombier. I think this may be the tragic day when my speakers die on me for good. As much as it pains me, I may need to buy new speakers for my work computer...I don't hold out much hope for my boss replacing these just so I can listen to the radio all day. You can get the little JBL Duet speakers for about $50 well spent. Anything cheaper sounds like tin usually. They are the best cheap speakers I've found.

W/in the last year, i've curbed two pairs of computer speakers I found while cleaning out my apartment, one pair had never been used. If you're in the NYC area, this is the time to check for free stuff that's been curbed. I just found a stash of records and a nice table yesterday.

giving some props to an album i picked-up this week - Hush Arbors, Yankee Reality (ecstatic peace, 2008) - first heard of this band when Ben Walker played its best track, "One Way Ticket" (easily in my top 25) - i am really mesmerized by this album - a to z - and consider the frontman (Keith Wood) truly brilliant - like approaching Reid, Byrne, Yorke brilliant - also wondering if anyone else knows anything about this band - very little about it online
