they are from montreal. they were called "zeroes" up until recently, but another u.s. band had been using that name before them, so... name change to "suuns" which means "zeroes" in another language - thai? and, yeah, they truly kick ass! very nice guys, too.

I was at Love Parades in Berlin-Tiergarten 1997 and 2000. Indeed it had degenerated, Lolapalooza-wise, into an ugly commercial parody whatever it once was. This was an awful, sad culmination of its decline.
