Enid Coleslaw:

Morning from Singapore Joe! I liked that Fanny song too I must add...randy bunch eh! Just in time too....I'd only heard of them recently and was wondering how they sounded like.
  5:10am
Joe:

Hey, Denis and Enid from very far away! Thanks for saying hello..I've been enjoying myself tonight playing these records, but it's good to know that you're out there! @Enid: Check out "Charity Ball" by Fanny, it's probably my favorite.
  5:13am
Enid Coleslaw:

Got it, thanks Joe!

Vincent Grelligino:

The title 'Surface Noise' conjures for me the archetypal noise music, Metal Machine Music, free jazz, Jandek It's relaly a perfect name for a noise show. Why isn't it a noise show, excuse my ignorance?
  5:18am
Joe:

Well, actually it started as a 78 only show a few years ago, so it seemed appropriate then. I should probably change it, but I sort of like it. Maybe I'll play MMM one of these weeks, though! Don't rule it out.
  5:22am
Mike:

As requested, checking in to let you know that you have local, NYC listeners. I listen on my way home, and before going to bed. Great show, as always. I really enjoyed hearing one of my fave Strawberry Alarm Clock songs on single file.
  5:25am
Joe:

Hey, Mike, thanks so much for checking in. I'm really happy to know there are folks listening here as well as overseas. I'm feeling much better now not seeing that blank comments screen!

jay:

i love this song i can't write left-handed very moving sounds like it could be from a film
  5:32am
Joe:

It really does...I'm surprised that with all the Vietnam films we've had over the years that no one has thought to use it. It's amazing.
