Listener comments!

Mon. 3/29/10 3:23am mc:

which was the nice lil pop holding hands song? great set so far

Mon. 3/29/10 3:25am jj.:

Hmm. McFly, maybe? Product of a WFMU in-joke gone horribly... right?

Mon. 3/29/10 3:26am david:

making breakfast here in Scotland - perfect soundtrack for it ...

Mon. 3/29/10 3:33am Garrett Dwight:

How's the beard nationals training going?

Mon. 3/29/10 3:37am Dave from So Dak:

Thank you for bringing peace to my early morning/late night. How 'bout some freaky Bill Frisell or Keiji Heino?

Mon. 3/29/10 3:45am jj.:

Man, totally ashamed to admit that the springtime weather got the best of me and the beard had to be removed for the good of my face + its ability to draw nourishment from the warming spring sun. Or in another words, currently training in the challenging but rarely reported ghost-beard category and building pore-strength for my next beard-mounting season.

Mon. 3/29/10 3:46am jj.:

And I'll take a look for some good Heino next time I have a minute...

Mon. 3/29/10 4:10am Garrett Dwight:

And you didn't even send me the clippings to add to my beard shaving stuffed pillow collection.

Mon. 3/29/10 4:13am Mark M. Ge:

Hey, I really dig this music, "Piano Vexations". Cool beans :)

Mon. 3/29/10 4:13am jj.:

Can probably recover them, if you need stuffing!

Mon. 3/29/10 4:25am Mark M. Ge:

Somebody stop the flood!

Mon. 3/29/10 4:45am jk:

Hello sons + daughters! Was just driving with some folks through the rain, we tried to call the FMU, but the phone wasn't making it..

Mon. 3/29/10 4:47am jj.:

Are our phones down?!

Mon. 3/29/10 4:48am Garrett Dwight:

Wouldn't want to make you dive through last weeks grub and fungus. But if their just lying around then you know.. what better way to utilize the postal service than trafficking beard hair.

Mon. 3/29/10 4:49am jk:

hi, jesse! apparently, because i tried to make my phone into a rock last week, by building it into one, but now it only called an alleged 'marathon number'... and some spanish channel. dunno, i wasn't exatctly dialling..

Mon. 3/29/10 4:50am jk:

i realize this all makes exactly no sense!!

Mon. 3/29/10 4:52am jk:

ps: i'm protesting against modernization. what does everyone else think?!

Mon. 3/29/10 4:54am jj.:

Like, installing your phone inside a rock? My friend Tristan embedded his cell phone into an old desk phone. Something like that?

Mon. 3/29/10 4:56am jk:

oh i think i heard about that. he also did a wire-phone that was a cell, right? no, i just got pissed and started building a rock 'round my phone. it is mysterious and doesn't always work any longer..

Mon. 3/29/10 4:59am jk:

i mean, yes, that's what i meant.. sorry my lady friend bought me a few too many drinks..

Mon. 3/29/10 5:04am jj.:

Mm, not sure if he did a wire-phone, too. and, yes, totally understandable, especially on a night such as this.

Mon. 3/29/10 5:07am jk:

it's kind of a nice night out. especially now that i'm inside. but what does everyone think of modernization? I'd like to hear from you, jesse, & the crowd.. he hee

Mon. 3/29/10 5:10am jj.:

Well, modernization in what sense? Every bit new & shiny technology quickly becomes used & cheap & broken.

Mon. 3/29/10 5:12am jk:

i read a poem last week by eileen myles, who said about tv's that they were "shiny + magnetic".. i felt like that was really important. interesting you use the word 'shiny'..

Mon. 3/29/10 5:13am jk:

i don't know what i'm asking exactly. but we were just arguing about myspace at the bar. i don't use it and now it's being monitored by the fbi.

Mon. 3/29/10 5:18am jj.:

Really? I hope they're finding some good noise bands!

Mon. 3/29/10 5:19am jk:

maybe it's more of a coincidence that people are playing eric satie tonight.. early modernism. you + monica both played tracks,, right? but now i don't see it listed..

Mon. 3/29/10 5:21am jk:

yeah i'm sure there's some psychosomatic trippy stuff. but i think this was about local govn'ts being interested in teenager's behavior.. you know they're 'flash mobbing' they say

Mon. 3/29/10 5:23am jk:

i don't know. somebody change the subject!

Mon. 3/29/10 5:24am jj.:

Somebody wanna send a raft?

Mon. 3/29/10 5:25am jj.:

Inflatable, made of planks, metaphoric, whatever...

Mon. 3/29/10 5:26am jk:

in what sense.. to you? i was just talking about rafts yesterday. my friend does them now, we go each summer down the susquehanna. you need help, verbally, musically, or physically?

Mon. 3/29/10 5:27am jk:

or i mean, i, i think i started the 'hellp' request.. whops.

Mon. 3/29/10 5:32am jk:

pretty intense set tonight. jesse, you're usually much more upbeat, no?

Mon. 3/29/10 5:34am jj.:

perhaps sometimes. sort of ended up falling into noise tonight...

Mon. 3/29/10 5:38am jk:

you've a leverage with your noise: that there's a focus that sustains for a pretty long duration. it's nice to be sidetracked to
