  7:52pm

There's still a vein of phillistinism running through Kansas, Wyoming, Idaho, and (are we surprised?) Alaska. Come on folks; represent!

And speaking of Asia, whose gonna be first, Seoul, Busan, or for that matter, Taipei?
  8:07pm
Steve Barton:

Great show Finewine and Shelley, thanks.
  8:26pm
kissa:

I would donate but Haiti and Chile need my money more than a radio station in USA.
Use your money to save human lives, not help disc jockeys play records.

Thanks for the music anyway.

Ike:

Kissa, you dirt-licking pustule on the anus of philanthropy. Your high horse looks more like a diseased donkey.

Are you listening online? Then you're sucking up WFMU's bandwidth, which costs money. EVERY ADDITIONAL INTERNET LISTENER COSTS MORE MONEY. No money to station? Station dies. These DJs are volunteers. Virtually everyone associated with the station is a volunteer.

If music isn't important, why are you listening? Without music, would life be worth living? I say no. I also say you should get lost (preferably in the middle of an earthquake). I volunteered at WFMU today; what did you do? I could've volunteered in Haiti or Chile instead, maybe. I chose not to. Will you condemn me for that as well? How much money can you give to Haiti and/or Chile anyway? Where do you stop? Do you eat nothing but rice so you'll have more money to give to them? No? Then maybe you should condemn yourself and not just the people who donate to WFMU instead of, or in addition to, Haiti and/or Chile.

What about the oppressed peoples of Burma? What are you doing to help them? Hmmmm? WHAT?!? Where were you before Haiti had this earthquake? Are you a fair-weather philanthropist? What about the homeless guy on the corner? Are you going to spend all day trying to diagnose his mental illness and improve his life? NO? THEN YOU'RE A SCUMBAG, RIGHT!?! Goddamn it, WHERE DO WE STOP?

You are a festering smudge of toxic waste in the river of human kindness.

Gargeman:

The dollars are on their way Mr Fine Wine. Looking forward to giving your Premium CD a good blast and another twelve months of superlative soulful sounds.
  8:43am
Papa Go Go:

I think I can clear up the Purdie/Beatles debate. He was employed by MGM in the mid '60s to overdub extra drums/pcsn on some of the Beatles Hamburg recordings. These had featured original drummer Pete Best & not Ringo. Mr Purdie doth shit thee not. Tis all true! Keep up the great work. Love from London, England.
