Listener comments!

Wed. 2/24/10 2:05am Jeff from St. Paul:

OH DIP! MCSORLEY WITH THE BREAKAWAY TILL THE BREAKADAWN!

Wed. 2/24/10 2:08am Joshua K:

Hola Marty. This is a nice up-beat start.
I watched The Right Stuff, For All Mankind, and In the Shadow of the Moon all last weekend. I didn't get around to watching Apollo 13 to around it off yet, but I went totally space crazy.

Wed. 2/24/10 2:19am Marty:

Hey everyone

Joshua: what is for all man kind i dont know that one?

Wed. 2/24/10 2:23am Joshua K:

Its a 1989 moon documentary using a bunch of restored footage: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097372/
Similar to In the Shadow of the Moon but without all the interviews, and apparently a soundtrack by Brian Eno.
All of the stuff I watched is available in HD so it was pretty sweet. I watched The Right Stuff and then followed it up with the documentary with all the actual footage of the same guys.

Wed. 2/24/10 2:30am Joshua K:

It starts with the pre-apollo stuff and goes all the way up till the moon project, so it was cool to watch after The Right Stuff. Then In the Shadow Of the moon focuses more on Apollo and has a lot of interviews.

Wed. 2/24/10 2:32am matt:

space is deep

Wed. 2/24/10 2:35am matt:

Marty Mcsorley's anagram name is MERRY, COSTLY AM

Wed. 2/24/10 2:35am wabbert:

yes....... i love this morder song!!!!!

Wed. 2/24/10 2:39am Marty:

i dont know how i got here. I dont even remember bringing these records. I was going to play 90's rock to start. but now we are in full on boogie mode.

Wed. 2/24/10 2:48am (mta) Tony:

Wow Marty, you really hit a nerve with this track, "Together." I remember hearing this track AGES ago.

Wed. 2/24/10 3:02am Clueless Dope:

Anything ever happen to these At the Drive In guys?

Wed. 2/24/10 3:03am marty:

they decided to pretend they were pink floyd and Santana

Wed. 2/24/10 3:04am Clueless Dope:

Panfana?

Wed. 2/24/10 3:07am matt:

yeah, sad. i randomly heard hulahoop wounds the other day and thought about atdi for the first time in a long time. weird to hear them tonight.

Wed. 2/24/10 3:11am marty:

1/2 the band ended up in mars volta 1/2 in sparta. they were one of my favs. the ep i played was on of the first paces of wax i ever bought. i hadn't listened to in in forever and just randomly pulled it out this week

Wed. 2/24/10 3:22am matt:

liked sparta more tan mars volta but neither enough to buy.

Wed. 2/24/10 3:27am matt:

i like a lot of the stuff ive heard from triumph of lethargy (band members include girl from pretty girls make graves, dude from modest mouse, i think) maybe more than murder city

Wed. 2/24/10 3:44am marty:

i havent heard it. ill have to check it out. I duge the first mars volta ep, but rick rubin ruined everything after that, never dug the sparta stuff. havent heard triumph of lethargy will have to check it out

Wed. 2/24/10 3:52am matt:

triumph of lethargy skinned alive to death. should appeal to murder city fans at least.

Wed. 2/24/10 4:01am Enid Coleslaw:

Marty, I would really want to be there! It's 90 degrees here EVERY day.....and humid to boot.

Wed. 2/24/10 4:06am matt:

-2 light flurries feels like -8 where i'm at.that's right, minus temperatures. aint gonna let up 'til may

Wed. 2/24/10 4:09am marty:

matt you are in canada right???

enid where you at?

Wed. 2/24/10 4:15am matt:

yeah marty, east coast of canada.

Wed. 2/24/10 4:21am Joshua K:

I think I heard they are cancelling space shuttle flight too. Its going to be privately run spacecraft going to the space station in the future.

Wed. 2/24/10 4:28am Marty:

Yeah they are privatizing everything and then renting space on trips to space.

Wed. 2/24/10 4:36am Joshua K:

That would be cool and all to go to space as a civilian but there is no way normal people will be able to afford what they will charge

Wed. 2/24/10 4:38am matt:

this move will probably influence canada to do the same if they haven't already.

Wed. 2/24/10 4:41am Joshua K:

This thing looks like it has similar design to the Russian Soyuz http://www.spacex.com/press.php?page=20081223 rocket propelled module instead of a complete craft.

Wed. 2/24/10 4:42am barbieturica:

i think that is not cool...by the way i need extreme drugs to to understand that horribles ideas....i mean...the money to the "nice" adventure...the slaves in all the world...that is not brilliant is a error.

Wed. 2/24/10 4:50am matt:

error indeed

Wed. 2/24/10 4:50am barbieturica:

but....this is not a posibility...maybe this rich people is living right now in the moon..and i'm in my
horrible job in the big contribucion
for the "lucky mans"

Wed. 2/24/10 4:57am Joshua K:

They say that it will reduce costs for NASA by using the privately owned and operated space craft. They can still travel to the space station and do other missions. We'll have to see.

Wed. 2/24/10 5:13am matt:

weird forest has had a ton of super great releases as of late. still killin it

Wed. 2/24/10 5:15am Enid Coleslaw:

Wed. 2/24/10 5:42am marty:

Wed. 2/24/10 5:46am trent:
